I mean it is just objectively true. I like drake. But I just dont see how you could say he can "out-rap" kenny. When you say "out rap" that usually means pure techincal skill, not song making ability (which is much more debatable). Kendrick simply has much more complex rhyme schemes, flows, cadences, etc than drake. On "that part (remix)" kendrick has one of the sickest rhyme schemes I've ever heard in my life from anyone. On verses like "deep water" and "holy key" he switches flows at least 3 times **in the same verse** Drake usually doesn't switch flows more than once in the same song. Please debate me on this, maybe there is a fire techincal verse from drizzy I have missed and if so I would love to hear it!

Drake is pretty underrated lyrically, especially for his wordplay, but I agree with you. Kendrick can really rap for real.

he's just better man, bar for bar

Drake quotable are on another plane of existence. Kendrick has no quotable lines.

on top of that, Kendrick's disses will never have an impact because Drake simply has way more ammo imo. also when Drake makes a diss, he makes sure its also a hit song. thats a combo that you cannot stop. s--- ended Meek's mainstream career lmfaoo and it will end Kendrick's too if it comes to that

Kendrick isnt a diss rapper man. he can spit some mean battle rap bars but he legit has no actual dirt on Drizzy

we arent talking about who makes better music, cuz on that front, yea sure Kendrick arguably makes better stuff

but if we're talking who's winning in a beef? Drizzy easily.

Smh. Underrating Drake's technical ability. Even "Over" has a good rhyme scheme:

I agree drake has more quotable bars (assuming he writes them all himself), but that's not all there is to rapping lol. If it was then drake would be top 5 all time. It will get the biggest reaction from a crowd, but if Im actually judging a battle I have to side with the person who has the better rhyme scheme, flows, and delivery, etc rather than just punches. However kendrick can come with the punches at times like on bet cypher "nothing was the same since they dropped control and tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes". That one line basically set the internet on fire. And there is definitely dirt on drizzy with the ghostwriting s---, dropping 2 meh albums in a row, d--- actually outselling more life etc. what exactly is the dirt on kdot?

Kendrick kept a 3 syllable rhyme scheme throughout the whole song on "That Part" while Drake switches it up a lot more

I can even quote drake to answer your post. Here we go: "Top 5 no debating. Top 5, top 5, top 5" :drakelaugh2:

I love both, it's absolutely not predictable who would win imo.

I def agree it's not predictable. If both artist is on there A game it would be very close. At one point drake was much bigger than kdot so he would've been the "winner" in the mainstream's view but thats not really the case anymore. Would probably just come down to personal preference

Really? You're going to bring up the ghostwriting rumours? Drake doesn't have people writing rap verses for him. He gives credit to people to give him concepts or a hook or something like that. Nobody's writing his verses for him

Kendrick cant write to a rhyme scheme and have the bars make sense consistently

Sometimes he’s legit just saying gibberish

I never understood the hype of that verse. The rhyme scheme is pretty simple
