Apr 29, 2022 Exactly. This is the pinnacle of rap. No one can rap like this. Will be studied for ages.
May 16, 2022 I think it’s just his old school fans that have been here since day one - you know you hear wow Eminem just dropped campaign speech and then you are thinking: “Holy f---! He’s dropping a hype freestyle street type single before his album like the old times!!” “he’s gonna have the whole country rocking to this s---!!!” then you go check it out and it’s this - with no beat. It’s not that we don’t appreciate it - it’s great. It’s art. But really what we want is this: Let’s Goooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! I feel like he still does it he just doesn’t release it before the album anymore.. he just puts the epic cut as the first track lately. Well for Kamikaze and Side A anyways.. SideA it’s my fav cut on the album.. on Kamikaze it’s falls short to “The Greatest” Then Side B — was missing that track. Alfred’s Theme was prob the closest. Revival could have used a hype freestyle type hype track before Walk on Water came out. I still think his verse on Chloraseptic Remix is up there with his best ever. That guy there… it’s still in him.. to be the BEST. And have it be universally recognized as such. You can’t s--- on that verse - the Game don’t want none of that. No one wants any of that. That was a GOAT verse.
May 16, 2022 I think people just miss what was and is known as his classic flow and the way when he touched a beat it became his beat, it became his song. The way you would listen to a track just waiting for his verse because as soon as he touched the beat he sent chills through anyone who was listening. The way he grabbed a generation and became their leader. That’s why this s--- got slept on, and it did get slept on. It’s just not what the people were looking for at the time. The subject matter was; just not the delivery. But respect to him for doing what he wants!
Jun 3, 2022 I never saw him as a leader of a generation. I never liked old Em. He was a wife beater and r--ist. I like modern day Em and his music better than in the past. 2011-2017 were his best years imo.
Jun 4, 2022 Well 2015 falls into that range so….I guess I agree? I know you’re f---ing with me but I’m dead a---.
Jun 4, 2022 Can we please get this joeyp back? https://sectioneighty.com/‘till-i-collapse-lyric-question.t289661
Jun 4, 2022 I know exactly what you mean. There's something different in his cadence and delivery these days. Though I also think the production/instrumentals plays a part too. My example (with a cheap plug) is this remix I made of 25 to Life mixed with the beat from Dead Wrong, and it makes it sound a lot more like the old Em. I think sometimes the newer production sounds too polished and overproduced. Let me know what you think...?
Jun 7, 2022 Thanks so much man! Yeah it really does fit perfectly, and you wouldn't expect it. Really changes the vibe, and used a sample from Shook Ones 2 to replace the soft singing. Yeah I've got remixes which are even better than that. I've made a version of Zeus that I think is better than the original: And a beautiful remix of Love Me Though if you want something a bit more classic then MMLPs k--- You to Redmans Smash Sumthing beat is pretty epic! If its easier you can just click on my YouTube Channel https://youtube.com/channel/UCanSZPsxyWDptW-7-f5nJkw and you'll see a selection of others. Got loads more, but not had a chance to upload them all yet, and limited to 10 uploads per day. It's brand new so feel free to sub!
Jun 8, 2022 Then that explains why you don’t understand what I mean by when I say he became our leader. He had an army.
