Apr 26, 2017 repeating the can we get much higher part that other time fergie on all of the lights mixing in general isnt good
Apr 26, 2017 I don't think it's absurd to use it as a benchmark, it was a career defining album for Kanye that's almost universally held in high regard. I think people have thrown its name around to the point where using its become meaningless, but it more or less deserved to get to that point.
Apr 26, 2017 no album deserves to be the one album every other album is used to measure against tho and its only ever idiots only listen to that pool of travis, weekend, drake, future music obv its a great album but idk you know every album gets compared to it its woat
Apr 26, 2017 honestly its not something that ive seen too often to the point where it frustrates or annoys me plus if any album should be held in this regard its MBDTF
Apr 26, 2017 Dude... he thinks young thug could make a better album. Stopped taking him seriously after that
Apr 27, 2017 To be honest I do feel like it's something people say as a "safe opinion" around hip hop fans to compensate for their lack of knowledge. Almost like the irl people that use the "2Pac and Biggie are the goats" line. Taking NOTHING away from MBDTF but I'd argue a lot of people that do what OP says (which does happen) have barely listened to it or don't even like it that much.
