Mar 20, 2018 s--- has it been a year? Probably my favourite Drake project - but that doesn't mean much because I'm quite vocal about how I don't overly rate his discog. I did enjoy this though - might give it a spin later.
Mar 21, 2018 It's all over the place. Some amazing concept were ruined by poor features. Get It Together could have been amazing if this boring a--- singer wasn't on it. The UK rappers were annoying. Portland has one of the most annoying beat of all time. That flute is 100% played by a 12 years old on a s-----y 13$ flute. This is how you do a flute beat I could go on and on, that "playlist" is just so annoying/boring to me.
Mar 21, 2018 I'm pretty sure Portland is a recorder but I might be wrong. And see I f---ing love that beat, and I think this album actually helped me get accustomed to UK rappers. To me that format works because, while it is all over the place sonically, the transitions between make it work and feel like an actual radio show/dj set/whatever. I usually don't skip any songs on More Life if I start it from the beginning, though sometimes I'll start at Passionfruit or Portland or whatever depending on what section I feel like listening to based upon my mood. But I honestly feel like Views is more all over the place because it transformed so much from what it originally was supposed to be. Cut it down to a 10-12 track album and it's really good, but there are waaaay too many duds on that album to me.
