Chance The Rapper is becoming an Actor

    His leading-man debut will come next year in the form of the pizza-delivery thriller Slice. What can't this guy do?

    Everybody's favorite human embodiment of joy, Chance the Rapper, is making a cool career transition. Yes, it looks like Lil Chano from 79th is temporarily swapping out "the Rapper" in exchange for "the Actor" with a new movie called Slice from A24 that's coming out next year. Chance gave us a very, very small sneak peek at the project on his Twitter, but I'm pretty pumped about it:



    I know, I know. That clip gives next to nothing away about the project, but thankfully an interview with director Austin Vesely in RedEye Chicago is here to fill in some gaps. First, Chance is apparently playing a werewolf named Dax Lycander:

    Vesely also talked about the inspiration for Chance's character:

    If all that isn't enough to get you excited, then maybe just focus on the fact that Vesely was the director of one of the most beautiful and well-made music videos in recent memory, Chance's (and Donnie Trumpet & the Social Experiment's) "Sunday Candy."
