Worth the wait for sure. Kevin Hart or Katt Williams could never compare. Chappelle is a legend. He has never had dull moment.

oh yeah, watched the second one yesterday and it was much better than the first, i even played it as background noise a few times

i feel like the first was just a warm up, or material he had saved that he didnt want to go to waste, but the second ones definitely a step in the right direction so im excited for any future specials he does if hes back, and imma be lookin out for that louis ck s--- too

Every single joke he made involving transgender people was premised on the idea that trans women are tricking men ("let's trick n----s in clubs into f---ing us") or denying basic humanity ("whatever it was..."). At no point did he try to make fun of transphobic POVs, which is the pivot he always does in racial jokes--he will show a ridiculous POV and run with it then ridicule it--but instead defended bigotry. Every joke was him scoffing at the idea that society even takes transgender issues seriously, that transgender people take themselves seriously, it wasn't funny and if it was that's not what I came for. I didn't peep the special to laugh at the expense of a group's very real struggle being diminished and their humanity rejected and if that's the sort of comedy Chapelle wants to embrace then I hope his specials end here.

    truly disgusting

Finally watched. First one had a lot of weak jokes but a killer ending. The 2nd one started on fire but the ending dragged out. Def liked the 2nd one more. I didn't feel like the jokes were dated like some have said. I wasn't expecting him to be funnier than Killing Me Softly so I wasn't disapointed. The fact that he has two hours of material, regardless if it's a year old is pretty incredible. I also saw him less than 3 years ago in the city and he did over an hour with different material that was killer. He's still got it

I watched it specifically to see a group's struggle be diminished... So, I was pretty happy.

btw @Papa Andy watched Neal Brennan special finally as well. I liked Chappelle better, just for the fact that it did the job that a stand up special is supposed to do, in making you laugh. But wow, that was depressing. It was definitely moving, but it was like watching a therapy session with jokes sprinkled in.

Seen a couple articles that basically said Chapelle isn't as good anymore or 'lost it' cuz his jokes went too far or were too mean lmao.

People so soft nowadays it's ridiculous.

Finally got around to watching both specials and I think I prefer Age of Spin to the Austin Texas one.
