Day 27 (I know I skipped a few days but f--- it): Sleepy Rose - Blood In The Streets

ATL'S own Sleepy Rose is an artist that should be kept an eye on. He is currently signed (or at least affiliated) on 2Chainz' label T.R.U. and gained popularity through his b-----r Woo that was featured on their recent label project. I still chose a different song since many of y'all probably know Woo or will atleast check it out after reading this (seriously listen to that song and tell me you didn't get jiggy). Back in July, Sleepy dropped two mixtapes, Ethereal: Heaven and h--- Edition. While those might not be the pinnacle of recent ATL releases, there were still some standout songs on those tapes, one of them being Blood In The Streets. Sleepy pouring his heart out on this heavenly instrumental definitely deserves more recognition.

Day 25: BKTHERULA - Tweakin' Together

BKTHERULA is an artist from Atlanta and sounds like a mix of Kaash Paige and Playboi Carti. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea but still stylish as f---. Been vibin to this song lately. You gotta listen to that s--- at 1am with good earphones and it makes you float. She also seems to have a connection to Duwap Kaine, which might explain her musical style.

Day 23: Joey Purp - Godbody Pt. 2 (feat. RZA)

Joey Purp is another one of my favorite Chicago MC's. This cut is from his 2018 sophomore album Quarterthing and features RZA who makes an absolutely killer entrance. Joey was definitely hungry on that song and murdered that s---, which doesn't suprise since one of his idols is featured on it. I highly recommend checking the album out and also listening to the first part of Godbody. Some good food for lyric gourmets.

Day 20: Reggie Mills - Ballin In Fendi (feat. Famous Dex & Sfera Ebbasta)

This is a fun song with an crazy instrumental that still gets rotation. I always liked Reggie Mills' music, especially his collaborations with Famous Dex. This also reminds me that Dex can be a good artist. I hope he chills with them drugs.

Day 17: PARTYNEXTDOOR - Love Me Again

Today I chose a song from PNDs amazing Seven Days EP. This melody and the way he sings over it just makes me feel some typa way. Is it good singing? Is it bad singing? Is the autotune off? I'm not sure what he did there or if it was intentional but he sure as h--- created an outstanding song. There is so much emotion in there, I can't really explain it. Definitely one of my favorite and most underrated PARTYNEXTDOOR songs + EP.

    Day 2 : KAMI - Home Movies

KAMI, who's often seen with Vic Mensa, Towkio, Joey Purp and others, is one of my favorite Chicago mc's. He's sadly not that consistent with releasing new music, but his catalogue is worth checking out. This is one of my favorite songs of him and probably one of my most played as well. Once again 80s vibes, but he did it before it was cool (if that even makes sense).

Mariah The Scientist & Lil Baby - Always n' Forever

The first Mariah song I've heard was Beetlejuice, a mellow and catchy RnB tune which eventually led me to her excellent album MASTER. Since then it got quiet around her and sadly I've missed the release of Lil Baby assisted Always n' Forever. With production from EarlOnTheBeat (an underrated producer if u ask me), this one is branching into a more mainstream territorium and hopefully will make more people discover Mariahs music.

Empress Of - Woman Is a Word

I consider this song an absolute classic of modern pop music. Sadly Empress Of hasn't gained the attention yet I wish she had but not only is this song a beautiful feministic anthem, the instrumental is absolutely phenomenal. Please check her out.
