Aug 20, 2020 RZA did some weird s--- in his life so I wouldn't be surprised if he did a feature like this
Aug 22, 2020 Day 20: Reggie Mills - Ballin In Fendi (feat. Famous Dex & Sfera Ebbasta) This is a fun song with an crazy instrumental that still gets rotation. I always liked Reggie Mills' music, especially his collaborations with Famous Dex. This also reminds me that Dex can be a good artist. I hope he chills with them drugs.
Aug 24, 2020 ayyyo @awhellno this is one of my new favorite ways to discover new tracks no lie. keep it up . strong writeups + taste
Aug 24, 2020 Day 21: Rexx Life Raj, Kenny Beats - Moonwalk Cali singer/rapper Rexx already made an appearance on the Nef song and is somebody who shouldn't be overlooked. His hooks are always catchy as h--- but he can also stand his ground on his own. He has a voice that you can always recognize and his flow patterns are very interesting at least. This song is a great example: His diversified use of his voice makes it fun to listen to and more so gives him a gimmick that so many other artists lack. Also Kenny on the keys.
Aug 26, 2020 Day 22: Chuck Inglish - WunderLAnd (feat. Trinidad James) Chuck Inglish might ring a bell in some of you. He is one half of the hip hop group The Cool Kids', the other one being Sir Michael Rocks. He is a dope producer and rapper and has worked with a lot of artists (even early Travis Scott) leading to many great underrated songs. His style of production is basically the advanced version of those beats we used to make on the table during school lunch but this isn't a bad thing (as Clipse already showed us). WunderLAnd's production isn't as simplistic, so it might be a better introduction to Chuck though.
Aug 29, 2020 Day 23: Joey Purp - Godbody Pt. 2 (feat. RZA) Joey Purp is another one of my favorite Chicago MC's. This cut is from his 2018 sophomore album Quarterthing and features RZA who makes an absolutely killer entrance. Joey was definitely hungry on that song and murdered that s---, which doesn't suprise since one of his idols is featured on it. I highly recommend checking the album out and also listening to the first part of Godbody. Some good food for lyric gourmets.
Aug 29, 2020 I'm trying to do them every Friday but with normality resuming, finding time to update them is hard
Aug 31, 2020 Day 24: Freddie Gibbs - Colors (feat. G Perico & Mozzy) One of Freddie's hidden gems, since it was basically released outta nowhere, but oh boy, everything works together so well on there. It's the perfect example for mixing old school hip hop with modern elements. Everything done right. From League of Starz killing the instrumental with the sax sample to G Perico' and Mozzy's flow and lyrics bringing you straight back to 90s LA. Seems like they actually put some thoughts in this song and not just rapped over a youtube westcoast type beat and called it a day.
Sep 3, 2020 Day 25: BKTHERULA - Tweakin' Together BKTHERULA is an artist from Atlanta and sounds like a mix of Kaash Paige and Playboi Carti. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea but still stylish as f---. Been vibin to this song lately. You gotta listen to that s--- at 1am with good earphones and it makes you float. She also seems to have a connection to Duwap Kaine, which might explain her musical style.
