Jun 9, 2018 More so than Outkast? Lil Wayne? Tupac? Art of Peer Pressure is pretty clearly referential to Murder Murder imo. And stuff like the awful part of that control verse where he's just cramming syllables and internals. I just said he wasn't the most essential part of the puzzle.

Jun 9, 2018 It's absolutely insane how big Nelly was. I tend to forget that because he's kinda faded out of popular consciousness even though he was one of the first rappers I got into (along with Eminem, which I think makes a good anecdotal point about their cultural significance at the time).

Just interested because I know you're a huge Hip-Hop fan and have listened to the genre for like a hundred years or something
