Feb 24, 2021 It's supposed to air this year on HBO max—Aaron McGruder was reinstated as showrunner so I'll def be watching, though I'm extremely sad that John Witherspoon passed cuz it won't be the same without him voicing Granddad. I'm really curious to see what they mean by "reboot" cuz it sounded like along with McGruder coming back they were retaining the same voice actors but it seems to be considered an entirely different show.

Feb 25, 2021 Same thing happened with Archie Bunker in All in the Family in the 70's. Archie Bunker was written as an oafish bigot with outdated racist, homophobic and misogynist ideas... the point of the show was to show how he was wrong and the progressive liberals were right... except the actor who played Archie Bunker was Caroll o'Connor and was way more charismatic and likeable than the other characters/actors, so the audience always sided with the bigot.
