    what do you guys think about this album , i heard it before like 5 times but god d--- this past month it grew up so much on me it entered my top 10 albums oat

    like water and resurrection are better.

    but be is the album that put common more in the limelight

    if they are better then it's a negligible difference because Be is as good as Common gets.

    This along with kanye's first album were the beginning of the end of my shady/aftermath exclusive listening habits. Thank God for that

    i agree.

    i am in no way saying like water and resurrection are a lot better.

    but if i'm ranking his albums i'd have be below those 2

    I definitely appreciate anyone who puts Like Water and Resurrection above Be... But for me, "Be" is his most well-rounded project.

    A definite classic.

    Production is absolutely A1. One of the best-produced albums of its era--and the best in that vein. Common is mostly really good on it, but is spotty at times.

    It's my favourite Common album. It's the album that introduced me to him, it was one of the best albums I've blindly purchased, loved it. Intro, Go!, The Food, They Say... :lawd:

    Its in my top 5 albums, love every moment of it

    I dont think LWFC and Resurrection are bad, buf i just dont see how they're better than Be, even with LWFC having some amazing Dilla beats. Be is just so short and sweet it makes me cry bro

    I have a lot of blissful memories associated with this one, I had an uncle who I was really close with jam this everyday that whole spring/summer before he passed away. The album has a perfect length and like everyone has pointed out the production is as good as it gets on any hip-hop album. It's a top 2 Common album right up there with Like Water, I give Be the edge just because it's so concise and feels more accessible.

    forget if it's the album i'm thinking of, but if it is, it's kanye's best produced album

    i much prefer common's rapping on resurrection and like water for chocolate however
