    I think it's cuz we waited 13 years for a Dre album and he dropped Compton which didn't live up to Detox's hype and basically said "There, there's my last album ever, now leave me the f--- alone and let me sell headphones and speakers in peace".

    I looked at it as more of an opportunity for Dre to lift some pressure off his shoulders. Oh, it's an album for the movie, not Detox.

    Besides 3/4 tracks it doesn't has the vintage Dre sound like Detox was supposed to be (topless/kush etc) but I love the fact thats its a combination of Dre sound and modern day rap music.

    And all the guests were amazing

    Detox was officially cancelled. I doubt that as long as Dre is alive we'll get to hear any of it.
    But once he dies, we might get some of it. Like we still getting unreleased Michael Jackson songs to this day cuz he recorded so much music.

    What are your thoughts on Compton in general? I've seen wpg being very positive so curious about the other half of the dynamic duo

    hmm for me it prob go

    Compton first, solid af, high caliber, everyones on their A game, production is goat. easy 9/10.

    then TLOP. disjointed album with no strong direction & the interlude s--- didn't help. but the strong standout tracks bump it up by a shitton. fun listen, i'd still say its Ye's worst album tho. 7/10.

    then Views. album is a---. Drakes worst. overly long album, repetitive production that gets old hella quick, embarassingly corny lyrics in several instances. Drake just lazes through most of it, at least it sounds like it. overall weak af. 4/10
