    fair. yeah i think theyre pretty evenly matched. i enjoy compton alot personally, it doesnt have tlop's lows (and granted maybe not as many highs)

    Peoples opinions on Compton differ so much I actually hated it for ages after I listened to it 5 times but my step dad eventually listened to it and his love of it brought me round to it. Now I've bumped it a load of times and I still love it. The features are just amazing it makes me happy.

    Most people who hate it are either diehard 90s peeps that don't like that it doesn't sound like The Chronic or 2001, or they're younger kids who won't listen to rappers over 30 other than Kanye.

    In terms of sound I think it has that "futuristic" vibe 2001 had though.

    Couldn't have been cause it came 2 months after though, they're similar in some ways but I disagree. Sounds more like Doc 2 if anything. But it's much better (IMO)

    ...compton = "detox", right? after all of the build-up, it felt like it was an album that he developed the year it came out.

    --that's not enough to say it was a bad album, but it was definitely a stray from what i came to expect, and therefore was a let down of sorts in that way.
