    No. He definitely locked away most of Detox cause the s--- that got released didn't do to well and he didn't feel comfortable with releasing it. I think Apple might have forced him into releasing an album possibly as well to capitalise on the hype and get profit it'd make sense.

    Nothing on Compton sounds like Kush, I Need A Doctor or the Jay-Z collab or any of the other Detox tracks that leaked

    yeh not saying it was a direct-copy, but definitely seemed highly influenced. in that aspect, was let down a bit to see him put out pieces of something i just got done listening to 2 months prior. dre always been a trend setter ("futuristic", as bc says), and having just listened to tpab, this didn't sound as fresh as i expected from dre

    I didnt hate compton, but as a project it's not something im going to keep going back to. I like a few songs off of it and I'm good on the rest.

    Tlop has higher highs and even though some songs arent up to par imo I feel like I can run the whole album front to back no problem. I just did yesterday actually. Its overhated at this point

    TLOP is much more enjoyable to listen to. Dunno what it is about Compton, I liked it but didn't really play it after the 1st month.

    I don't like TLOP so I can't make a valid argument for it.vs.compton. but I think Compton is better, TLOP is/was a mess.

    Imo both albums fell a little short though, because it was Kanye/Dre rapping. Not saying Kanye is a s--- lyricist or hes useless at rapping, just that to me.his lyrical content has been very boring from Yeezus onwards. Feel similar about Compton, sometimes a Dre verse come on and I'm like "if your such a perfectionist, why are you still rapping this?" - don't feel like this towards Kanye anywhere near as much though.

    Though it's a bit unrelated, I wish Dre could pick features like Kanye. Is it just me or is their absolutely no care for john Connor at all? -hes not bad, but like, he starts rapping and immediately you think "I do not care for this person at all"

    Oh and how can you claim to be a perfectionist and still let a 2015 Eminem appear on your album?

    Imagibe If Dre focused on mixing and beat production, while Kanye went out and gathered the artists for that album. It would probs be my fav of all time OAT album

    Compton is a surprisingly good album that's much better than I ever thought it would be, but that I'd be perfectly fine never hearing again.

    Kanye can rap and he got a nice flow but his discography is terrible

    1 classic album in College Dropout

    2 solid albums in Late Registration and Graduation

    1 average album in MBDTF

    3 terrible albums in 808s, Yeezus and The Life Of Pablo
