I'm not even that well versed in the Rocky franchise (I will watch them soon though) and even I made to trek to my local cinema that I haven't gone to in like a decade.

Either this or Straight Outta Compton fight for my favourite movie of the year. :ohno:

An emotive tour de force only rivaled in quality by the original Rocky. Cinematographically superior and topically relevant. Some incredible moments including the slow motion run surrounded by motorcylists, the Steadicam long takes of entering the new gym and of the first fight, and the aerial circling of the final bouts shot for shot. Nas and Tupac mixed into the lot for added flavour.

    87/100 – Excellent.

This was fantastic. Fights were so well choreographed. Punches were so well reacted to. The camera angles throughout were just superb. Just a great f---ing movie.

Man I hope I can get out to see this during the weekend. Michael J was great in everything I've seen him in so far. The Wire, Friday Night Lights, and Fruitvile station. It's crazy to me how he could be passed Carl Weathers son.

Finally saw this. Great movie. Best Rocky since part 4. I got teary eyed watching this at times. Rocky has been like a role model or a family member to me my entire life. Seeing him old and sick was very tough. Great emotional movie. :emoji_cry:

My only complaint would be I wish the ending was a little more "climactic" since this was probably the end of the series as a whole. Little known fact: the original script to Rocky 5 was that he dies on the Philadelphia Art Museum steps at the end of the movie. They changed it because they thought "nobody wanted to see Rocky die" I actually thought it was gonna happen at the end of this movie.

This might've been the most emotional Rocky movie tbh. :emoji_cry:

So hard to believe Stallone has been playing this role for five decades!

    1970s (Rocky, Rocky 2)
    1980s (Rocky 3, Rocky 4)
    1990s (Rocky 5)
    2000s (Rocky Balboa)
    2010s (Creed)

Philly will always be my number 1 go to city if I ever visit America because of this moment. That movie and the guy in my avy were strong factors into why I support their dreadful sports teams. :lmaooo:

Why Scranton? I live like 20 minutes north of there. Their St. Patrick's Day Parade is pretty famous. I get wasted their every year lol.

I really enjoyed it. Was sad seeing
Rocky get sick, I actually thought he was going to die at the end as well
. Otherwise an awesome iteration for sure. Definitely recommend for anyone to go see it.
