Jul 15, 2017 I made my account and sent in my info 3 days ago. They say they've been overwhelmed with applications and it's a 2 week waiting process. What are you feelings on August 1st? I bought a BTC, it went up slightly and I cashed it out after reading about August 1st. I'm going to get in some altcoins in the meantime, but staying away from BTC and ETH. Edit: and looking at BTC this morning, I have a feeling a lot of people are going to cash out between now and July 31st. I expect some significant buying opportunities coming up.
Jul 15, 2017 Is there an exchange that offers limit buy/sells? On coinbase, you definitely cannot day trade when you get screwed by the gap on every trade. And based on the graphs, there is obviously a way to set your price for trades.
Jul 15, 2017 I need to read more on aug 1. Holla if you have any high level info on what's going to take place. All I know so far is that there may be a possible split. I'm planning to dump most of my coins into Ether/lite/alts between now and then because I think that's what a lot of other people are gonna do...btc will tank in anticipation and I don't see people jumping back to fiat, but will be investing in others.
Jul 15, 2017 I believe everything will workout with August 1st but there is going to be a lot of volatility for the next month. Bitcoin will figure it out because there is simply too much money invested for people not to find a solution. You can hold your BTC through it, but be prepared for some serious highs and lows. Personally, I'm out of BTC and going to wait for a dip. It wasn't too long ago that this was at $1,000/BTC. There is a TON of amateur money in this market right now, such as us. Look for opportunities to average down if you are holding. EDIT: Seems most people are either holding their BTC or converting to LTC until there is some stability in the market.
Jul 18, 2017 Some cost less than a penny per coin. Buy 'em up. I'm currently holding BTC, SC and XRP. Can't believe I still do not have a gemini.com account and Coinbase was too slow to take my money too and I missed getting more of that BTC below 2,000. Currently watching POT, STEEM, XMR and ANS. Also, I'm probably late to it but the Blockfolio app is great, except it's highly addictive.
Jul 18, 2017 https://entethalliance.org/enterpri...ds-largest-open-source-blockchain-initiative/ Can't believe I didn't grab any ETH. Honestly, thought it was going to $80.
Jan 8, 2018 @Slyk have you got any other recommendations for exchange sites? Both of the 2 you have mentioned have now suspended new users. Thanks in advance!
Jan 8, 2018 binance reopened their doors today, but will only be accepting limited new account signups each day: "We are pleased to announce that Binance will re-open limited user registrations starting today. To ensure performance for our existing users, only a limited number of new registrations will be allowed each day."
Jan 8, 2018 I Be been trying all day. Just says "registration pause" whenever I try to register. No other recommended exchange sites?
Jan 8, 2018 Kucoin and poloniex are the other two names i hear mentioned semi frequently. i think @JMG might use poloniex?
Jan 9, 2018 I use poloniex for bytecoin and siacoin but both aren't doing well but still believe in them
