Dec 28, 2015 Tonight at 9:00 p.m., Damian Lillard will release his debut album “The Letter O” on iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify. The album will reportedly feature Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx, Juvenile, Marsha Ambrosius, Adrian Marcel, and Raphael Saadiq, who was featured on Lillard’s recent release, “Hero.” Lillard has quickly become a celebrated rap artist in the basketball community, earning national acclaim with his music video, “Bigger Than Us,” which aired on TNT during the 2016 Martin Luther King Day matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. Each offseason, he spends time in the booth creating new music. You can find that music on his public SoundCloud page, here. http://www.blazersedge.com/2016/10/...rd-debut-album-lil-wayne-the-letter-o-release If you guys are interested in more of his music, check the spoiler below. I'll definitely check this out later tonight. Spoiler Portland Trail Blazers all star PG Damian Lillard surprised the world with his rap skills last year when he created the IG movement #4BarFridays. Since then, he's dropped freestyles on Sway and numerous tracks on his SoundCloud page DamianLillard0. His new single 'Bigger Than Us' dropped on iTunes 5 days ago. Definitely one of the best NBA rappers I've ever listened to. (Sorry Kobe) Spoiler What do you guys think? How does he compare to past athlete rappers & other rappers in general?
Dec 28, 2015 I remember hearing that Dead Presidents freestyle a while back, I thought it was actually really good. Gonna have to check out some of these though considering that's all I've heard
Dec 28, 2015 Yeah that's what put me on to his other stuff. I saw his 4 Bar Fridays but never actually thought the dude rapped for real. Nothing groundbreaking but he definitely has skills.
Dec 28, 2015 Doesn't have much competition considering it's only between him and Iman Shumpert I think.
Dec 28, 2015 You could count Kobe, Metta World Peace, Lance Stephenson, Lou Williams, and Kevin Durant too.
Dec 28, 2015 Yeah when I said the comment about Dame, I meant active NBA players, not necessarily actively rapping. Kinda weird to me how long ago Metta rapped tho. Doesn't feel that long ago.
