Jan 5, 2016 Let me put the burden of proof on you again. What does "being objective" mean if it's not "most people would agree that..." ? It's not science theg..
Jan 5, 2016 removing personal feelings and opinion on a subject like you could have just googled it and silently took the L now you look r-----ed again ob·jec·tive əbˈjektiv/ adjective 1. (of a person or their judgment) not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts. "historians try to be objective and impartial"
Jan 5, 2016 So basically being objective is making judgements based on nothing other than facts amirite? You've basically lost your whole point if you concede to this (obvious truth).
Jan 5, 2016 ...yes and that's exactly why you saying "Well I like it" is completely irrelevant to the conversation
Jan 5, 2016 I think this is an example of just having sentimental value attached, it is different than being conscious of what is known to be good and something that actually is universally more accessible.
Jan 5, 2016 well if Speeding Bullet is a postironic psuedo grunge statement, it pretty much served its purpose perfectly and is OBJECTIVELY a masterpiece
Jan 5, 2016 Okay thanks for conceding. Now aside from my remark. How can an artist be "objectively bad" if you can't make an argument that can factually proof your point?
Jan 5, 2016 do you mean any artist in general? because a lack of understanding in the fundamental in their medium would be a broad answer that applies to any art form.
Jan 5, 2016 i'm not a music critic. i can't objectively list off reasons why tech is bad because i haven't listened to enough tech n9ne to be impartial about it. if you give me 3 weeks to listen to his discography i'm sure i'd be able to give you a list of facts as to why tech is bad in detail but i can't right now and i'm not going to pretend I can, but i can tell you my opinion is that he's s---, his lyrics s--- and are tryhard s--- without any sense of self awareness, his fast rapping is a crutch that he uses to give his fans something to use as evidence that he's "technical" and his fans themselves are usually r-----ed, inbred hicks that make the artist himself look even worse. if you showed me an album cover or photo id be able to tell you whether it's good or not and why, but again, i'm not a music critic. i wouldn't be the one to come to about a review for a car or movie, either.
Jan 5, 2016 Well we can start with him confusing display of "skill" with decent music. Tec9 is just a meme who floats on rapping superfast to the point where the music itself doesn't have any meaning anymore. Autistic suburb white kids eat that s--- right up and obsess over how "lyrical" he is. Someone like Rittz actually does double time flows justice, because he doesn't use it as an excuse for not being able to flow, or to cover up horrible vocal delivery. He uses it to cut out filler words and enunciates key words to deliver solid material. Meanwhile on a tec9 track: dsgjdlhasfglsagoaygyrieuhgiegheiuhrgiguehuiuerhgiuerhgueighueuhgreiugheriushootaschoolupwmachoppabitch
Jan 5, 2016 So to make this short: Rapping fast is a trick used to obscure his lack of meaning and horrible vocal delivery. Am i summarizing it correctly?? I'll let someone who knows about Tech N9ne look at these arguments.. and maybe he'll concede.. maybe he won't @Rick James
Jan 5, 2016 It doesn't have to cover up lack of direction/meaning, but in tec9 case it does. If he didn't abuse double time he wouldn't be anywhere because that's all he can do. A one trick pony.
Jan 5, 2016 Useless thread. Suckers been hatin' on Tech since day one. "f--- you, we goin' this way" ©
Jan 5, 2016 So none of your criticism was actually objective? Who were you trying to convince a page back? I appreciate you taking the time nonetheless but you've basically lost your own argument on Tech being objectively bad
