U said he does certain songs to maintain his popularity and accepts marketing plans from his label

Now my problem with this statement is just seems very non accurate

Yea, that was Survival for example. Then he took the Southpaw soundtrack, which forced him to do motivational stuff like Kings Never Die and Phenomenal (Kings Never Die is great though).

He depends on the entire marketing team to plan out his release date, promotion, etc, which makes us wait a lot. He's got hundreds of songs that we'll probably never hear, just sitting there. Some of them are probably grade A Eminem material. I'm sure if Eminem was independent he'd be releasing new material often, he'd be excited to share it. Not albums necessarily, but what's wrong with a little unrelated mixtape or something? He can't do that because he's too marketable for something like that. So he suffers, I suffer, you suffer, everyone suffers from lack of new Eminem material.

Just to play devil's advocate wouldn't it be the complete opposite the record label would be on his case all the time begging him for music so they can make money. Albums, singles, songs released = money to be made and we are talking millions and millions to be made here in money that's just from record sales

Then new music would mean a tour of new music being performed and that = even more money again we talking millions on top of millions just from a new tour

Releasing unreleased material songs from 99, 2000, 02, 03, 04, 05 releasing them in compilation albums again means = money to be made once again we talking millions and million in profit. Those old unreleased songs just sitting in the vault means no money to be made from them


So logically looking at it the label would be doing the opposite trying to convince him to release music as much as possible as everytime he doesn't they losing money that is guaranteed to be made from his music. But he the one that tells them no to wait in his own time
