Okay so I make decent money I guess. But I work shift work. 7 days 8am-4pm, off for 72hrs, then 4pm-12am ,72hrs off then 12am-8am..f---ing sucks yeah I know. I sit on my a--- all day, bored as fug. The shift literally is ruining my life physically and mentally. I'm always fuggin tired it's the worst. Miss out on events, parties and no weekends off expect once a month.

Is It worth finding a new job, making less money and working harder to actually have a life? I'm starting to think so.

Anyone else in a shity situation llike this?

Sounds like being a plant operator. I work with these dudes and that's pretty much their schedules. I always tell them I couldn't do that s---, but some of these guys have been doing it for 30+ years. Same exact schedule, no holidays or weekends. It just depends on the person i guess.

I'd evaluate a lot of things before making a heavy decision but I always think that this world is meant to be enjoyed as much as possible before our time is up. Working hard is a daunting & draining task and I believe that's something we can all agree with. Living a life with regrets is the last thing we'd want to do and being success-driven shouldn't be the ends to justify the means so I would encourage you and anyone else that's at a similar crossroads to think about finding something that gives you a bigger sense of meaning & purpose and most importantly a happier life.

Just a guess here but, when you die, your consciousness doesn't. It's there forever, and it's like being in a lucid dream. Your consciousness can't be destroyed, just like Energy.

    EDIT: FAIL, didn't read OP

If the pay is good, weigh up whether you want to sacrifice your social life and for how long. There is no better feeling than having a fat bank account and no job, you can do whatever you want whenever you want.

How old are you btw? Because if you're still young teens/twenties then this situation (again, provided the pay is good) is pretty beneficial. The longer you stick with it, the better time you'll have when your out.

Look at this way Brennan. Even though you're a Crosby hater, this universe we live in won't even exist. h---, this planet is going to turn to ashes when the sun explodes within 5 billion years. f--- that s---. Keep the income until you find another job even if it pays less but rememberer even the universe that you see everyday won't be here in the future someday. So just chill out, root for Crosby and watch the parallel universe we live in eventually collide.

:hov3: not to try to downtalk or make you feel worse or anything lol, but these dudes down here in south Texas aint making less than 100k being operators. I guess that's the reason that they tolerate that s---. I was actually offered to transfer to an operator position, since I'm on a 1 year contact and they don't wanna let me go. I thought about it but it's not really the way i wanna go career wise. I just don't think I could do that, and if it's killing you this early and you can make comparable money elsewhere I'd keep it moving bro.

The bad part is really the schedule. Specially if you're at a well maintained plant. All these dudes do is watch netflix and bs. I couldnt take the hours though
