Mar 27, 2017 Even without the in game matchmaking feature that you think is so essential, you'll find a lot of ps4 destiny players group up all the time. Like Final said, bungie does have a LFG message board that's very active. It literally only takes a couple minutes to do.

Mar 27, 2017 Final and I are trying to tell you this is not something you want. There's literally only 2 things in the game you can't matchmake for, raiding and story missions. We hear you loud and clear, but you not hearing us lol.

You're not me or any of the other people that want it and it doesn't effect you in the slightest anyways so I'm not sure why you're trying to tell me what I do or do not want m8. It's all well and good to sit back and say it's not necessary or it would be bad when you're part of the group that doesn't need it, and not part of a giant chunk of the player base that have effectively been locked out from playing certain things because of a lack of a basic feature and have been asking for this since forever

Say for a story mission you get grouped up with 2 other people that are just doing it for their daily mission and it's your first time and it's hard as h--- for you. You going to be ok with them burning through everything super quick without you experiencing the lore and content of that mission? Same thing for raids, what makes you think it's ok for you to matchmaker with a group of guys that have beat the raid and it's your first time doing it. You going to feel some type of way if they kick you from the group or you just going to keep queuing up until someone tolerates your inexperience for raids and missions?
Mar 27, 2017 It would effect all players if a matchmaking feature was implemented. Actually I was you at one point in time on this game where s--- was super hard without a lot of the features they have on here now. Nightfalls were d--- near impossible unless you had raid gear. I'm not telling you anything to make the game a worse experience for you, you just keep pointing out that I don't think matchmaking is a good idea.
Mar 27, 2017 again, you're trying to frame this as if you know what i do or do not want or as if it even effects you i don't f---ing get your issue with optional matchmaking man yes because you know what the alternative is? not being able to play it through at all or getting to experience what comes after etc. and what's the point of this being an mmo if you don't get to play with other people in basic s--- like missions? also lol @ you bringing up lore as if this game actually has a real story in it to experience yes, and again the alternative is that i literally NEVER get to f---ing experience giant chunks of the game that i paid for without it if it's optional how in the h--- is it a problem though? the only effect it could have is a positive one
Mar 27, 2017 Matchmaking would affect me because if I choose to use it to pick an extra guy and the guy we get took the easy road all the way to get into raids is not going to help the group succeed then we all suffer. I didn't frame or say anything you didn't already tell me. You're blaming the lack of features for not being able to experience the game fully, and I'm just having a hard time seeing that. If anything, I've given you several workarounds to your dilemma. h---, if you had a ps4 and was in destiny id run you through the s--- myself. You keep saying you want to experience the content you paid for. Matchmaking and getting carried isn't the best way to experience a game.
Mar 27, 2017 except that wouldn't happen unless you let it because matchmaking would be optional? you blatantly said that you and final are telling me that i don't want something that i do in fact want and yeah, i get that you're having a hard time seeing that as currently, the lack of matchmaking doesn't effect YOU. it still effects a s--- load of other players and this has been a major gripe about the game for forever now man. it's not like i'm the only one that's wanted this you shouldn't need workarounds to play m8 and those workarounds haven't been reliable for me at all and still take you out of the game and make you wait to play, if you can even scrape together a team that way at all. this is not a good solution basic s--- like this should be a part of the game. flat out. again, you're telling me what i do or do not want here. if i want to matchmake so i can actually experience things i couldn't experience without it, what is the issue? that's my f---ing prerogative fam. and you act like it's just gonna be a situation where if you can matchmake everyone in the game is just going to be completely useless at playing it and will have to be carried lol. like... what?
Mar 27, 2017 Matchmaking is optional yes, but it doesn't stop people from queuing up and not being prepared or inexperienced at what they're suppose to do. Matchmaking isn't just gonna be used by new players, I know that. Maybe I misunderstood the type of experience you're looking for. If you're cool with grouping up and being ran through content just to see it, more power to you. But you're putting 100 bucks into a game to just matchmake your way through it... to each his own. Yes as someone who's been playing destiny since day 1, I would not recommend a matchmaking feature to you. I'll leave you alone about it though.
Sep 4, 2017 Destiny 1 was fine enough except for how long it took for them to get meaningful content out. I got sick of waiting after house of wolves came out. Also the storyline was non existent and just all around awful.
