    I feel like the show could have benefited from a slightly longer season to flesh out the second half of this season, especially these last couple episodes

    f---, could you imagine this season ending with Dexter killing his own son "because he deserves it". Holy f---ing s---. That really would blow the internet up.

    But I don't think that will happen. I think Dexter will either escape again or get caught but the baton will be handed over to Harrison and there's a possibility Season 2 could continue with him as the lead. But that would be corny. Just my thoughts anyway.

    As much as I've liked this season, I don't want a 2nd season. If they do that then they're just pushing it for money and we'll end up with s--- like before. Just give us a good ending and some closure

    I'm with you 100%. Even if I don't end up being 100% happy with the ending, I've thoroughly enjoyed every episode so far and that's good enough for me. I'd much rather it end on a high note than risk more subpar seasons.

    Rumours they have shot two endings. One for if the ratings are up and show is received well, they would have a ending if they decided to have furthermore seasons and the other is the ending to wrap the series up for good, which at this point, is what we all want as this series been unreal.

    O I hope it’s not the cliche ending of Audrey daughter getting kidnapped, Dexter or Harrison k--- Kurt and she decides to keep their secret and they both ride off to the sunset because they saved her. I can imagine that being the showtime ending if they decide in to renew more seasons of New Blood. Has to be a end for Dexter in my opinion or something dark that has been fitting for this series and way it’s all been set up

    This f---ing episode was absolutely insane. My God what a season this has been. Unreal. 1 more episode left

    Kurt one of the best killers ever on Dexter. I don't think he's Trinity but he was close. That reveal of his trophies was sick and the twist that he killed Molly.

    I think this season is up there with 2 and 4. I think its better than season 1. This past episode might put it passed 2 for me. I just don't think it'll beat season 4. But what a f---ing job they've done.

    Wow…. That was some of the best TV I’ve ever watched. New Blood has to be the greatest revival of any TV show In history. Gutted there is only one episode left but also happy because it’s heading for a fitting finale and ending.

    So I have a friend who is actually on the show (I don't want to get them in trouble, so I'll wait until after the finale to name them, but they're a character on the show) but they told me today that they wonder if the last episode will "break the internet".

    The showrunner said the same :

    So much has been said about the series’ original finale, but how do you think fans are going to react to New Blood‘s ending?
    It’s going to be surprising, inevitable and it’s going to blow up the Internet. It is, I personally think, the best thing I’ve written. Our director Marcos Siega, who could not be more experienced and a better friend of the show, thinks it’s the best thing he’s ever directed. I haven’t seen it yet, by the way. I only saw it get shot. We’re editing Episodes 7 and 8 right now, so I haven’t seen 10 yet. I can’t wait, to tell you the truth.

    I dont want this to end, brings back so many memories of impatiently waiting for the next episode or season back in the day. They've done such a good job with bringing Dexter back

    I think you're riding the hype train on that opinion. This season is very good but not up to par with anything from S1-4. The last few seasons were so s-----y that this season seems great. It is very good though. I was pretty adamant about not wanting Harrison to be a serial killer but they're making it work. Crazy there's only one episode left and the preview looks pretty crazy. Haven't been this excited for a live TV show in a while

    Guessing there is the break the internet ending or the showtime time ending. Let’s hope it’s not the latter. Of course more seasons would be good but if the directors and writers see a fitting end to Dexter and the series then they should respect that. Executive decision would nuke the ending I bet and be in same situation from the last ending of the series.

    honestly I think season 1 is kinda overrated and season 3 is the weakest of the first 4. Season 4 and 2 are the best of the show. This season I think is better than 1 and 3. Like if you really start thinking about Brian's overall plan in season 1, it's kinda ridiculous and I've always thought so. Even though it's super entertaining and a great intro into the show. But some of what you say is probably true, though. We'll see how the finale is.
