I think it would be cool for everyone to pick their favorite director of each respective decade. We can start with the current decade and work our way backwards.

    I'll go

    2010s

    Terrence Malick

    Runner Up:

    Paul Thomas Anderson

I've only seen 21 Grams and Birman tbh and neither one did much for me. I don't dislike him rly, I just kinda am put off by his attitude and a lot of his fanbase so I troll by calling him a trash can.

Gray. Maybe Weerasethakul. McQueen, Malick of course, Linklater. Hong, Koreeda, and Tsai for regularity.

He left Knight of Cups out of his Malick post. I wish I could say the same, homie.

Yes, it's top 2 for me, gets better with every watch and it's his most boundary pushing and experimental film; massive achievement.

People have to come around on it eventually. I seriously think To The Wonder getting panned is directly related to the praise that Tree of Life enjoyed the year prior. Went straight to On Demand so people wrote it off smh.

Inherent Vice still low-rent Coen Brothers though.
