    Swizz keeps hyping that song like it's the song of the year lol.

    The beat is repetitive and sounds unfinished. One of the weaker songs on the album imo.

    I feel like the plan was "X can't sell on his own anymore and I want this to do good so let the selling point be the guest" which on paper seems like a good idea with that marsh mentality of "big artist = important Good album" but at least for me it pushed me away I don't want an X album for the guest I want to hear X even if it's sucks

    Oh i'm fully aware that a lot of them are not completed songs. But even if the song is let's say 60% done, that's still something to work with.

    I'm also 100% sure any accomplished artist who puts out an album has at least 5 completed songs they decided not to put on the album. Some they might have kept for later or never released.

    As for "the songs that got scrapped got scrapped for a reason". That's not always the truth. Taste in music varies. And what the label thinks shouldn't make it on the album might be the best song for someone else.

    Since I gave Eminem as an example. Just look at the bonus tracks on some of his albums. Some are better than most of what's on the actual album.

    Relapse Refill for instance. He could have chose not to put that out and move on. But he put it out and it s----s on most of the original Relapse.

    Another good example is the tracks Koolo leaked. Cocaine is imo one of the best songs Em did post hiatus. And it was were never supposed to see the light of day.

    You're right that some of songs that got scrapped are probably sh--. But that's not the case for all.

    Most artists have at least 10 songs that didn't make the album for each album.

    X has 6 albums from 1998 to 2006. Even if he has as little as 5 songs per album that didn't make the cut, that's still 30 songs from his prime.

    You take Eminem for example. Pretty sure he did like 100 songs for Relapse. I remember hearing some crazy number. And you know he must scrap like 20 songs per album.

    But maybe this is a record label issue. If X does have some unreleased stuff from that period it probably belongs to Def Jam. So maybe that's why Swizz doesn't mention it...
