Swizz hooks and beats are s---, always been.

I can tell bath salts verse was recorded probably around 2008.

    https://theneptunes.org/2009/10/dmx’s-walk-with-me-now-you’ll-fly-with-me-due-summer-2010/

If you compile the songs to make up the first half of that Album, minus the Kanye track, we had a very solid Album from DMX in 2010. Better than Undisputed two years later, which recycled some of these songs, and better than Redemption, which was stolen and unofficial, which also recycled some songs. I have it on my laptop as DMX envisioned it and I refer to it as an album. I don't consider any of those later re-used on Undisputed as part of that album. Just a small history lesson from a long-time fan, 18 years and counting. Even the MGK single doesn't count as an official song because it re-used vocals from Ya'll N.... If you remove all the songs meant for Walk With Me Now it sure looks like a shorter album until we compare that to this recent effort. Which is what 10 songs... not really even that is it, because Bath Salts re-uses DMX's verse from Spit That Sh*t. So count it as it really is, 9.

DMX already sounded different on Walk With Me Now, then 2 years later he dropped Undisputed and I had a major issue with his voice. And now this album just feels like the last straw. Will forever be a huge fan, but reviewing his album as an album everything aside, it's pretty bad. 5 Classics, 1 Decent album, and still pretty decent Walk With Me Now. Less I think about this one or Undisputed minus the songs meant for Walk With Me Now the better. One day they should honestly release that project officially as the envisioned two disk set, not sure how much of the religious dramatic side B he recorded though.

Of some interest: spaced because I could not post link as it is.

I'm almost sure that's old and even the song with snoop sounds like his 2001 style, he probably just re-recorded.

He been doing it since the beginning of his career, in the album "and then there was x" there's some songs he reused.

Check my post above. He sure did. I am almost convinced Money Money Money is also recycled but can't find the same lyrics.

Swizz is easily the worst part on That's My Dog

    That's my dog, yeah, yeah
    That's my dog, yeah, yeah
    That's my dog, yeah, yeah
    That's my dog, yeah, yeah
    That's my dog, yeah, yeah
    That's my dog, yeah, yeah

Like how many f---ing times you gonna repeat the same s--- lol.

Swizz is really hit or miss. He can create a really dope track but he also produces a lot of stuff that sounds like a 12 year old did in his mom's basement.

    You didn't like this?

I thought Swizz killed it on the hook.

I don't mind it. Not a Rick Ross fan. To me it does not feel like a DMX song. Or even a song properly featuring DMX. His verse is way too short. Not a terrible song, but you wait until the end for X and he spits just a few lines. The writing isn't there, the voice isn't there. Bane is Back actually sounded decent, like above decent. Can't say great but pretty d--- close. And felt like a DMX track with a great beat, grows on you.

Here you guys go, at least the hook of Money Money Money dates back to 2013. Will need to inspect the lyrics for the verse comparison. Although at the moment seems different.

    [Verse 1: DMX]
    Money, money, money
    b------s, b------s, b------s
All these f---ing killers, but the jail's full of snitches
A dollar ain't got a f---ing thing to do with riches
Say cheese, now I got pictures of what a b---- is (woo)

And this is actually a great Swizz/DMX collabo track, and a good sample of Biggie.

it reminds me how cinephiles begged for a genuine pacino-de niro pair-off, after being teased with near collaborations in godfather II and heat........ then we finally got gassed versions of them doing righteous k--- lolol

Huge fan of both but they should have retired mid to late 90s before they both sold out. Minus The Irishman I have not seen to many excellent films with either in the past 20 some odd years.

Joe Pesci was actually better than both in The Irishman. Deserved an Oscar over Pitt.

Righteous k--- was horrid. Just beyond bad.

de niro sold out (or has a compulsive need to work regardless of the project quality).... pacino still brings it/finds ways to challenge himself frequently.

Pacino takes on more challenging roles. But his acting isn't great. But my two cents. Seen every film he has ever made and his best work is in TV these days. Not so much the new show, but Television Films.
