    RIP to one of the greatest. While I was preaching holding out hope because we didn't have all the facts, I am also a firm believer in cutting off life support at a certain point in situations such as this. I would not want to be artificially kept alive like that, and while I'm sure that's a crushing decision to have to make, I think it's the right one.

    I hope that, if anything good can come from a person's death, it's that it will help show people that mental illness and drug addiction are not new things in rap. It's not just so-called "soundcloud rappers"—this stuff has always been an issue. DMX was an undeniably funny person who did some wild things, and it's OK to marvel and laugh at that—but if you only think about people like DMX solely as the butt of a joke, this stuff is going to keep happening. A little more compassion will go a long way.

    And is it me or there have been a LOT of deaths in rap on the recent years? Like more than any other genre?

    I remember Kevin Hart was supposed to host the oscars and a "homophobic" tweet from 10 years ago resurfaced a couple weeks before the show. He ended up not hosting the oscars.

    These dumbasses on social media got way too much time on their hands. Just finding reasons to be offended.

    Even if you're not a huge fan or don't like much of his work everyone knows and loves his all time classics it's gonna be hard as f--- listening to that s--- now what a f----- up wrap on his career and life he deserved much better than this
