Nov 17, 2015 Honestly I've talked a lot of s--- about the album but I do think there are a few redeemable things. He's still very capable of delivering good hooks & bridges (Rhyme or Reason, So Much Better). He sounds great on others (Brainless, Baby, Groundhog Day, So Far, Evil Twin), but again, the songs as a whole are kind of all over the place. Survival, Legacy, a------ is one of the worst 3 track runs in his discography. I think Beautiful Pain would've been a great single. Bad Guy was good, Rap God was good, but was a minute too long (could have just cut to the hook right after "It's not hip hop, it's pop 'Cause I found a hella way to fuse it With rock, shock rap with Doc, Throw on "Lose Yourself" and make 'em lose it). Overall just too much inconsistency, which is disappointing because he had the framework to put together a really good project.

Survival is great for its purposes, its an anthem. many people use that track to workout and stuff etc, it does its job well, in mine, and others opinions. legacy is just a "oh look at my technical skill i can match syllables and vowels throughout the whole track, and its aight but couldve been excuted better a------, is well.. eminem just being eminem... minus a s-----y beat, well thats harsh but a subpar beat and we have eminem.....being........eminem. lets not forget this either please In June, Riley and members of his team flew to Detroit to meet with Eminem and Rosenberg while the artist was still writing and recording for his forthcoming, yet-to-be-titled, eighth solo album. “Survival,” produced by Eminem and DJ Khalil and featuring Liz Rodrigues of the New Royales, was one of a handful of songs that the delegation from Activision heard during the visit. The track’s lyrics made it clear why Rosenberg had thought of Riley and “Call of Duty” in the first place. Over four rapid-fire minutes, Eminem recounts his trials and triumphs in the music industry with a monstrous chorus from Rodrigues declaring “This is survival of the fittest / This is do or die / This is winner takes it all, so take it all.” But, production-wise, the version of “Survival” played in the studio that day differed from the one that premiered online Wednesday. While in Detroit, Riley and his team had shown Eminem early concept art and gameplay footage of “Ghosts,” which the artist apparently took to heart. Over the next couple of months, Eminem turned in five successive versions of the song, each one bigger and more anthemic sounding than the last. The final master of “Survival” currently streaming online and in the “Ghosts” trailer, with its heavy electric guitar blasts and stadium-ready drums, wasn’t turned in until this Tuesday, and by then was “vastly different” from the earliest version of the song, according to Riley. Similar to Beyoncé’s premiere of two new songs in commercials for Pepsi and H&M this spring, and Jay Z’s introduction of “Magna Carta… Holy Grail” in June via Samsung commercial, Interscope saw “Call of Duty: Ghosts” as a music delivery system with rarified marketing potential.

Nov 17, 2015 It's a pretty cringeworthy album with the exception of a few bonus tracks ryhme or reason and rsome of Bad Guy. Em did not recapture that lightning in a bottle with this album
