Oct 11, 2015 I'll be honest, and I know this is a VERY unpopular opinion with many here, but I really really like when Eminem goes to that all against him underdog type of theme. It pumps me the f--- up, of course his funny/really lyrically talented songs are good but I love his yelling at everyone against everyone songs. However, saying that I don't know how I feel about the love songs. I grew up knowing about Eminem only from Recovery to now, I had to go back to all of his previous albums and listen to them over and over to understand what he used to be about it. He's definitely changed, but I think it's for the better. I wish he'd make another song like his verse on Medicine Man that was incredible.

Oct 11, 2015 the only thing is Em isnt the underdog he's the Shark in the pond. He is the biggest rapper ever not even arguable. He is the BAR and ofc he is nowhere near what he once was but his own perception that he is an underdog sux
Oct 11, 2015 I don't so much think it's his own perception that he's an underdog because in my opinion, if you look at what he has said in his previous songs/album MMLP2 he talks about wanting to not make any more songs like We Made You & would rather make Not Afraid 2. He's trying to show us that he wants to make songs for people who used to be in his position before he was famous to pump them up to want to be where he is.

Oct 11, 2015 I wasn't really quite referring to Beautiful Pain or GoF because they're not the really yelling at everyone going against it all underdog theme song. They're more like I'm depressed but I need to get back on top of it. Which is fine, since that was what he was feeling at that time. I'm more referring to like Medicine Man, All I Think About It, Kings Never Die, Phenomenal. These songs provide mega inspiration to people who need it.
