Rap music is a symptom of a decadent but thankfully dying paradigm. Hopefully rap dies along with it soon.

I just don't think there are a lot of talented people in rap. It's mostly a bunch of inane, materialistic blowhards. I revisited Kanye's best albums recently and found that even he's not as good as I used to think he was save for a few classic songs. Those few rappers that are talented are for the most part pushed to the side and never make it to the mainstream because they do their own thing and don't follow trends (I think especially of Johnny Polygon in his prime).

Biggie is the most complete rapper ever imo he probably isn't #1 at any single thing (not even flow) but he's top 5 at almost everything

Dr Dre isn't the best producer ever, he's not in ppl like Premo, RZA, Kanye and Dilla's league simply because he lacks creativity and artistic direction
