Apr 30, 2021 yeah I got the second shot yesterday afternoon and it is kicking my a---. I feel like death
May 8, 2021 some great vaccine news here! Basically, this means fully vaccinated people have developed antibodies in the nose & throat & cannot transmit COVID-19 to others. This was originally unclear which is why many medical experts continued to advise fully vaccinated people to mask up to prevent themselves from spreading the disease to others even if they were not infected.
May 8, 2021 Got both my appointments booked today never looked forward to a needle so much in my life lol
May 9, 2021 I still find looking at all the data really interesting. Just simply Google "Covid cases" and you'll have a clear view of everything including active cases, deaths & vaccines. Can be filtered by country or viewed worldwide. It's clear were doing amazing in the UK, one of the best in the world. Worldwide, not so good. So sincerely doubt that international travel will be a viable or cost effective option for at least the remainder of this year and realistically probably not until this kind of time next year. The cost of PCR tests is ridiculous and potential quarantine just makes it too much of a gamble right now.
May 9, 2021 I have a very irrational fear of needles so I'm obviously anxious about it, but I'm definitely getting it. my appointment is next Friday for the first dose. I'm in Canada and we're severely behind with vaccinations.
May 14, 2021 Got my second jab booked for 10am tomorrow morning. For my first jab I got a message from my doctor's, phoned them and booked for 10 days later. Was expecting a message next Friday to book for 10 days later. Instead got a message today and was able to book for tomorrow morning. Happy days! Just hope I don't get any side effects as my pub reopens on Monday and I really can't afford to have any more time off (plus don't have any f---ing staff to cover!!).
May 14, 2021 Absolutely no side effects for me thankfully after 1st dose. I really hope the 2nd dose will be the same. Will have to wait up to 16 weeks for that but it'll probably be less
May 15, 2021 Second dose done. In the doctors waiting room now for my mandatory 15min wait. Should I be feeling like Superman yet?
May 15, 2021 I started to feel like s--- about 12 hours after my second shot. It only last about 24 hours or so, but hopefully you get no side effects
May 15, 2021 I was fine after the first one. Hopefully I'm all good, I'm back to work now after 5 months off and our doors officially open on Monday. Can't be sick on that day!
May 15, 2021 d---. When we first approved the vaccine it was said each dose would have a 2 week gap. Then we changed that 2 maximum 12 weeks which we've been told is the maximum gap that should be allowed in-between vaccines. I had 9 weeks between mine in the end.
May 15, 2021 Mine was exactly 8 weeks which is pretty good. Side note: since my second dose I’ve been waking everyday with a headache.
