Dec 21, 2014 I'm getting older, so I'm desperately trying to hold on to whatever athletic abilities I have left lol. Last year I played on both a basketball team and a hockey team. This year just the one hockey team, and next year (January) I'm joining a second hockey team so I'll be playing on 2.
Dec 21, 2014 nice. hockey has always been a sport ive been interested in but since im in Georgia ive never been exposed to it other than when i would go watch the Atlanta Thrashers when they were still around
Dec 21, 2014 Last season I was playing for both a football (soccer) and a basketball team. I had an ankle injury in October and haven't played at all recently. I'll try and start again next year, or hit the gym.
Dec 22, 2014 When I was younger I used to swim competitively, ever since I started college I joined a Rugby Club and d--- if that's not fun.
Dec 23, 2014 I play college baseball and this is my senior year. Gonna be weird as h--- once I'm done.
Dec 23, 2014 Lol @ hockey. You're all a bunch of p-----s. Floorball is where it's at. Playing for my uni's team.
Dec 23, 2014 Played a few sports in the past but nowadays I just play basketball at the gym sometimes and that's about it as far as playing sports goes. I used to play baseball and that was definitely my favorite sport to play, loved it. I liked to play 1st base the most but was also in the outfield sometimes, they put me at 3rd base one game and I was f---in awful, made 2 errors in 1 inning lol. 1st base and outfield were the s--- though. I played a decent amount of basketball too, couple times on teams but usually just for fun.
Dec 23, 2014 Played Basketball in high school, would've played football but the coach was a teacher there and we never got along. Basketball team was good, won state championship my freshman year. Once we came up to varsity 2 yers later we s----d again. Now just s---t around and play pick up games when I can at the Y or park. Haven't played in a football since middle school.
Dec 27, 2014 I was a freak athlete in high school. 4 time state champion in track, was MVP of the state championship meet (placed first in shot put and second in discus), new england champion, all state football 2 times, was named to my state's all time football team in 2006. Played defensive end and tight end in high school. Led my league in sacks my junior and senior year (even only playing 3 games.) Basically could've went to any college for a full ride until I snapped my ankle in half during a practice in my senior year. My college career was pretty brief. Played football and track. My ankle has never fully healed, so I was constantly dealing with it in football. I honestly didn't even care about either sport in college. I was more into partying, and college sports are like a full time job, all year round. Had some cool moments in my college athletic career. I hold my college's record for shot put, and I had a handful of really good games in football (couple multiple sack games, strip sack for a TD, blocked field goal, some big hits). I just was never the same after the ankle injury though. I was unblockable when I was healthy, but I literally only could play a quarter to a half without my ankle giving out, and not being able to walk for a few days. I fractured my ankle in 4 places, and all of the tendons/ligaments stretched out to the max, but didn't snap. The doctor said if they would've snapped, that they could've surgically repaired my ankle, and I would've been fine within a few months (wouldn't have lost my scholarships)... However, with the tendons stretched, he said that the recovery process would take maybe a year or two, because I needed to re-tighten all the tendons naturally. That's why it was so hard to play football, because it was such an intense workout, that my tendons would tighten up and would lock up (like a Charlie horse)
Dec 28, 2014 Used to play Sunday league football (soccer for you US folks) from the age of 14-18. Right back, club captain in the last year. The good old days.
Dec 28, 2014 I've been playing soccer (football for you UK folk) since I was 5 years old. My natural position is behind the striker (playmaker in other words) and I've played as a winger as well. Played on travel teams and I had a successful high school career that fortunately landed me a scholarship to play for college. Managed to become a starter in my 2nd year and remained there until I graduated this month...Bit delusional but I still dream of playing in Europe someday
