Sep 6, 2016 Yeah He sold out after the commercial failure of Relapse (that actually sold great but not up to Eminem standards)
Sep 6, 2016 Recovery is the greatest album ever made, No album can compare to Em's timless singing. He makes Elton John look like Ice JJfish in comparison.
Sep 6, 2016 I don't think he sold out with recovery. At least he was putting effort into an album that actually turned out pretty cohesive, and it's decent MMLP2 was his sellout moment
Sep 6, 2016 Nah seriously, Most of the album wasn't selling out, even if some of the beats (looking at you DJ Khalil) has more of a pop influence. Their were some honest, normal Eminem tracks that'd fit on The Eminem Show like Going Through Changes and Ridaz. However, the two most popular tracks were definitely selling out. Not Afraid had the big Bo-1da sound that Relapse Em wouldn't have even contemplated touching, and Love The Way You Lie? Do I even have to say it?
Sep 6, 2016 I don't look it as sell-out. It's more he changed his formula and decided to widen his circle with production and deversify the audience. Not Afraid at least wasnt sell out.. album is pretty dope like: Cold blows wind, Seduction, Talking to my self, Going Throug Changes, Ridaz, You're never over, Untitled, 25 to Life, Cinderella Man etc.... , the biggest complaints revolve around Love The Way You Lie.. it is jot sell out.. em verses were like any other song of his.. he didnt do something ruin his legacy.. he rapped with females before like Super Man, Stan, etc..
Sep 6, 2016 Weird features, poppy production, s-----y mastering and shouting. No desire to listen to it.
Sep 6, 2016 Delete this ip from the internet. You don't deserve to live in the 21st century.. u should been with Flinston or some cave man s--- era
Sep 6, 2016 But still it wasn't his sound. So I have to say he did it to appeal to a wider crowd. So he sold out.
Sep 6, 2016 Eminem always had pop rap appeal...there's nothing wrong with Em going for something more commercial. Relapse is pretty much horrorcore.
Sep 6, 2016 I love Recovery but it still pisses me off he went that direction because of what happened with Relapse. The only reason that happened was the f---ing accent! If he didn't use the accent with that album it would have done fine! We probably would still be getting that Eminem sound with Dre beats this entire time if it wasn't for that. Just what I think.
Sep 6, 2016 I don't think the features were that weird actually. Despite "Won't Back Down" being diarrhea, Pink actually fit the track, and Wayne had a tasteful verse. The only tracks I feel like where their production was poppy were Talking 2 Myself, Not Afraid, 25 To Life, LTWYL, and Your Never Over. Everything else sounded like normal Em. Gotta agree on the rest though, the mastering was horrific and the shouting on tracks like "Almost Famous" was d--- near unbearable.
