There's no reason to believe that our universe is the first one (or the only one that exists rn); what triggered the big b--- might have been leftovers from the previous one, like what happens in an oscillation, which is also identical to one of the theories (universe is observed and proven that it expands, several people believe that it'll peak and then start shrinking // an oscillator reaches an energy peak, then drops to zero, then back up again.) Ofc this doesn't answer who would create the original one, but when we find out more about the fundamental particles and what exactly happened in the big b--- and how the fundamentals interact with each other and "carry" mass or energy, we'll know for sure that the whole system is self-powered and doesn't need an exogenous creator.

Also if you think about it, particles came from nothing and started a reaction (bb) = "god" existed and made these particles and casued the big b--- but the first part saves you from the bs about some dude who turned water to wine etc; it's simpler and healthier.
