Mar 7, 2017 The Witcher 3 takes a big dump on BotW when it comes to open world @Final if you think that dialogue when u stand on the edge of the bridge is incredible open world detail you would flip out at witcher 3
Mar 7, 2017 First off I don't give a f--- if you buy the game or not what bugs me is someone that hasn't experienced it attempting to belittle the experience. Where the f--- does Witcher 3 come into play? You're trying to compare apples and oranges, because for one, the entire Witcher game is based off that system of choice dialog and multiple branching scenarios. That isn't and has never been a staple of the Zelda series so how can you try and use it as negatives? Zelda does that in a different way with the structure of the game and how you can go to ANY point story wise or side quest wise and complete it. I can go straight to the Zora land and beat the dungeon and get armor that lets me swim up waterfalls, I can go straight to the master sword, I can go straight to the final boss... I can ignore all of that and collect shrine orbs... Does Witcher 3 let you do that? Oh no!!! Witcher 3 sucks!!!!! The f--- are you even trying to say? That's not how objectively reviewing games works. You don't just compare it to this game over here and say well it doesn't do this... But it does this that and that. No, it's it's own thing so f--- off with the Witcher comparisons because Zelda does a lot that Witcher doesn't and that doesn't take away from my Witcher experience so why would it vice versa? The bridge thing was a f---ing small example of the charm this f---ing game has and nothing more. You must have decided not to read the rest of the post. And actually no that s--- doesn't happen in Witcher, Witcher is a static game with set pieces that determine what will occur... Zelda you literally decide how to complete something and your equipment will decide the variety of ways to do so. It's a dynamic game that in a way, has more choice than Witcher.. It's just not blantantly "pick choice A B or C!" The way 10s upon 10s other games have done. Witcher and Zelda have completely different functioning elements behind them bro and judging either one on each other is a very simplistic way of lookin at things The game is overwhelming with choice and you haven't played it so you can't possibly comment on it. Yes Witcher 3 is a great game... But has glaring issues that stop it from being a 10/10 like actual bad combat. Not just "oh FPS/resolution on the back of the box says blah blah blah now I suddenly am effected by this even though it doesn't change the game in any way shape or form and I wouldn't have noticed otherwise"
Mar 7, 2017 It's 2017 and we still nitpick great games, in a time when games tend to come as unfinished products with little content or content that's been done 100 times before it. I haven't had a single "collect 5 monster fingers" quest yet... How many of those in other games? Stop nitpicking greatness fa----s
Mar 8, 2017 you think i care? i only said give me a reason to spend $600 on a game i can get free, because you told me to buy it first lol. The witcher 3 comes in to play, because you said BotW is a flawless 10/10 game and I said it's not. it was at this point you posted a scripted event in an open world as if it were a big deal. its neat, but nothing that hasn't been done before (or better). SO i presented you with a game that's far more detailed and intricate. Witcher 3 and BotW are video games (both ""open world""), not apples and oranges, it's perfectly fine to compare them. I'm not using it as negative at all, I'm using at as; "Ok this product is good, but it's nothing new, this other product did it before and better." lmfao. you actually can do that in the witcher 3, ultimately there's one main questline. But you can just leave the starting area after killing 1 monster, then from their sail to the last part of the map and begin the questline there, skipping probably 80% of the game. The freedom BotW offers is one of the main things that has me interested rn. i never shunned BotW for not doing something another game does, i'm shunning it for offering nothing new. I was just trying to give examples how everything you stated in that singular post before, could be chalked up to a "well Witcher 3 did it already and better" because they did for the most part. yeah and my examples were also small examples of the charm of Witcher 3 and why it's better. Witcher is the furthest thing from a static game. part i bolded; same for witcher, again. instead of choosing which weapon to use based on factors like enemy strength and weapon durability, you're choosing which potions to drink, which oils to apply to your sword and which weapons/gear you will use? Though in terms of delving into story, yes, botw offers more freedom (at the cost of less foliage, draw distance and good graphics lol fukn rekt bro xD) Well yeah, if I was to compare every game I ever played to Witcher 3, i'd be a bit of a r-----ed c---- wouldn't i? but it was just one example, because it's a recent open world game. Not really man. most of a game's stimulus is visual and I've watched a fair bit of it. (though there's still heaps of unseen stuff becuz big gaem) Yes it's better to judge a game on playing it rather than viewing it, but I think my judgments are fair especially considering I haven't brought up anything related to the gameplay/controls itself. I most definitely can comment on it since I know the skill and time required to create a video game. Yeah ok, you don't worry about FPS or the resolution, I myself am used to getting 30+ fps and a static native 1080 resolution likely due to PC and some PS4 games. Anything less than 30fps for a singleplayer game feels/looks s--- to me. It does change the game negatively for me and gives me more of a "s--- hardware/s--- engine/s--- optimization" mentality. I can't ignore it and there's many people out there like that. But BotW i can say the fps from what I've watched hasn't been too bad, only in rare occasions. the 1080 complaint is because its f---ing 2017 lmao its like come on i don't want to see the jaggies. But minor complaints really with BotW having less focus on the graphical side I honestly don't think it's a bad game, just doubt it'll be a 10/10 flawless masterpiece worth $550. trilli times more excited for kingdum huts tree my man.
Mar 8, 2017 What makes Witcher 3's combat 'actually bad'??? what glaring issues does it have? It's one of the most polished games ever released How is W3 a static game?????
