I've said it before, and others have as well:

The forum kinda ded af

And it's because of the specific focus of the forum, and the way things operate. We might be a tight knit close community as a result, and that's great. But that sort of comes at the cost of activity. The only people discussing stuff day in and day out are the same people generally, and it's usually the same artists/stuff being discussed because it's the same people.

There's not a whole of new happening around here anymore.

And you mentioned competing with KTT, and that's another issue.

I stand by what I've said in the past, which is that the forum would benefit greatly from it not being a Hip Hop forum, but a Music forum in general.

For those unfamiliar this is f---ing r-----ed strong in googles eyes, they hold a high value to the content posted on this website when structured in a way that will actually generate impressions via the search results. The problem is you people think that SEO plays a large factor in the growth of websites that are forum driven. When in reality if you google any of the keywords that generate a massive amount of searches per month. KanyeToThe is nowhere to be found yet they're making an extremely large amount of money, and have a massive user base.

@Cyreides not wrong in needing more marketing, I feel like the physical appearance of the forum works perfectly. But I also know what 1500.00$ in marketing can do to something like this, and you'd really really prefer doing that in my opinion as I can't really notice a massive functionality loss. I recommended almost a year ago now that you expand the forum to various genres. Having a section for even just SPANISH music would be beyond massive because the genre is getting literally a billion views per video on YouTube and outside of the comments section these people have nowhere to discuss the tracks (at all) / It's just a matter of @Koolo wanting to change (which is often hard, changing something you've dedicated so much time and / out of pocket revenue 2 make happen is never easy.)

the focus isn't there tho from the outside looking in

we look and function mostly like a hip hop forum competing with the giant known as KTT (albiet with a far superior look/feature set)

and that plays out terribly for activity and diversity of discussion
