    I suspect that if the reaction is positive we get this AND his magnum opus in February. However the album has to have more heat than what we heard. Song sounds great but pretty lukewarm for a new Dre song

    No the Cheers were 2001 or 2002 I believe. That "Oh" beat was literally the first Detox beat ever made. I think I remember Scott Storch talking about that song and how every verse had a different beat progression and every song on the album Detox would have progressions like that- which at the time was pretty f---ing awesome.

    There They Go was made in 99. That's a fact. The very FIRST Detox beats were the Dre tracks that ended up on Obie Trice's Cheers. From there you can look at Beg For Mercy, The Documentary, The Big b--- and Blue Carpet Treatment for more of the easiest Detox sessions.

    Just going to post about Dre real quick because this thread is being watched and I want to clear some things up.


    Yes August was the OG date I heard back in March. Things were up in the air at the time with with divorce so NOVEMBER- not October- was the back up date.

    With that said you guys got to remember this is Dre, not Eminem, so nothing is guaranteed. In late March 2011 Detox was supposed to be turned in for an April release and literally the day it was supposed to be turned in Dre had a change of heart. I'm not here for clout or notoriety(already have that) but I want to share what I can.

    Personally I suspect we get an album between now and 2022(Why not release in December? The Chronic did) or we never hear from Dre again.


    It's been 25 years since he started Aftermath snd 20 years after Chronic 2001. know it was 1999 but Chonic 2001 and Chronic 2021 have a nice ring to it.

    Again it's Dre so I wouldn't bet my life on it like in the past where I would have with Eminem. Time will tell I guess
