2019 just couldn't end without someone comparing Bible Study production and Dre's. Really seen it all at this point

    Kanye.

Scott Storch made most of Dre's best beats.

Dre got old and whack so made a solid album about Compton.

Kanye got old and whack, married the most toxic c---- to society, had multiple mental breakdowns and produced his 3 worst albums consecutively and is likely washed/fell off. He is more cooked than Eminem at this point.

Can't argue with that but Kanye's first 6 albums are classics though.

If he legitimately felt that way and it wasn't for that painfully obvious reason I would respect the opinion 100%. Dre is a legend.

I do agree w/ Dre sounding better without though. Everyone always said that Em fit perfectly under Dre production but I think Em had a lot more fitting producers that suited his style back in the day. When Dre did his own thing it just worked better imo

Kanye has a dope sound but I still see myself bumping some songs just mainly because of their beats and those are usually produced by Dre, never Kanye tho. I like them hard beats, I like the west coast sound. I like how great Dre's drums are. THat soulful style of Kanye can be find on some other producers for me but when I hear a Dre beat I know ti's him...

2 of my all time faves but my vote goes to Dre for 2 reasons:
    1. Dre is prob my fave hip-hop artist of all time
    2. Longevity. You know what you get with Dre, doesn't matter now many decades he's been in the game. Kanye is an egotistical fruit loop who's music has suffered considerably with this Jesus BS. Although I'm looking forward to the day he realises it was a mistake and hits back hard.

ALL of dre's keys are done by Scott Storch. That classic klang klang klang of Dre is Storch. Why the klang klang klang sounds so good on Still DRE is because Storch plays the keys off key. Storch demonstrated it in an interview. Dre can do drums and mix a track to sonic perfection. You notice how when Storch disappeared with his bankruptcy and drug problem Dre disappeared also? The last album of Dre beats was Relapse, full of Storch keys. We have not gotten a dre beat since then. Yes we've gotten an old dre beat or two bought from the vault, already made. Compton not one Dre beat. Being an executive producer overlooking everything is totally different than actually making the beat. Dre "always working" but Never releasing anything. His ego or whatever that stops him from releasing music is r-----ed. He is the only person i wish hackers would break and spill his entire vault. There is no point in making tens of thousands of tracks and never releasing them.

So many people keep making this point... Kanye uses heavy sampling in all of his production doesn't write his own s--- and his best album production wise also had the fewest Kanye beats.

It’s Dre. Literally created a sound/sub-genre. Kanye been biting sounds since 2008.

Threads like these are so lame because it turns into a d-ck measuring contest between stans tearing the other artist down like they both aren’t top 5 or even top 3 producers of all time.

legit question....does dre REALLY make most of these beats? as in, does he really get on those drum pads, or work the keys, sampler etc? mail man, scott, mark baston all the guys that's worked with him I see them doing a lot of the actual producing, as in playing the keys, pads. I feel like he just hums a lot of s--- for them to bring to life, I know technically that's producing under todays specifications but Kanye actually plays keys, hes on the pads. videos of him working with an orchestra to play music he wrote. I don't think dre has made an entire beat himself since 91.

my vote is Kanye tho, some pockets he has in some of his production is incredible. my favorite producer is premier tho. but on the actual engineer and mixing aspect, eq, compression, saturation, all that dre is a god
