Feb 18, 2017 Drake hasn't had a MBDTF or a revolutionary album like 808s. Drake hasn't had three consecutive albums that are critically acclaimed (college dropout, late registration and graduation). Drake hasn't produced some of the greatest songs for the greater rappers. But most importantly Drake hasn't influenced the rap game like Kanye did, tbh i think if Kanye didn't start rapping Drake would not nearly be as big. Kanye birthed all these backpack rappers.
Feb 18, 2017 i'm not denying that, kanye is my favourite artist of all time. you can't really make a case for him that i haven't made already. but if you were to boil down rap in to a narrative, drake would be one of the most important characters in the genre. rap has had about 4 decades in the books to my knowledge, drake has been at the forefront for almost 25% of that. think about that.

Feb 18, 2017 Who cares if he's been at the top of the rap game for that long, its about the music isn't it not where you stand, thats like saying crosby is better than lemieux because he's the face of the franchise and will be for a long time but when it comes down to it lemieux is the better player. Don't get me wrong to stay at the top for as long as drake has its impressive but musically like i said kanye miles past drake
Feb 18, 2017 no, you're missing my point. no other rapper has had such a natural grasp of both the rap and pop genre simultaneously like drake has. that and a tireless work ethic is why he's had the industry in a chokehold for nearly a decade. i'm not denying kanye is the better artist. he's the best of all time. but you're denying drake's impact by using the word "miles".
