    I know Ye be cray but I don't think he has just made this up.

    Chances of hearing it though? Odds... I'd say are slim Shady to none. I'd say about 20% chance. And yeah, would be interested to see what Em says...

    Actually, 'what Em would rap about' is not that interesting of a prospect. Regardless of the song's concept... we know he's gonna rap a bunch of battle rap bars; a mix of 'how good I am' vs. 'how s--- you are' (at rapping) vs. a childhood incident or emotion mentioned vs. 'gonna do this until I die' sentiment.

    Then maybe like 1 or 2 lines about god or the gospel, in pun form, just to act like he tied his verse into the theme. Like on 'Lord Above'.

    Well you have the two kings of procrastination (Kanye and Dre) on one track, so probably our only chance for hearing this song is if it leaks. IF it even exists and not just another manic episode by Kanye.

    I remember a fake tracklist was posted back then that had Em featured on Chain Heavy. Lmaoooooo of all the songs why would someone make up a lie like that

    Yeah, the timing of their careers was a huge factor I think. Em was barely working and battling his own demons when Kanye was hitting his commercial peak (and as Em later admitted, he was thinking about dissing Kanye and Wayne during the worst of his addiction), then Kanye went into hiding post-TS incident when Em was getting back on the map. But Kanye has always wanted to work with everyone, it's kinda crazy they never crossed paths (though I guess for all we know they may have made songs together that were never released).

    I remember people saying that Kanye was supposed to be on Fly Away when @Koolo leaked it but idk if there was anything beyond speculation. It seems like something could have happened during Recovery/MBDTF era when Kanye was inviting everyone to hawaii and Em was hopping on songs with Nicki and Wayne and BOB. Just a really collaborative year all around.

    Kanye has a knack for making seemingly odd combinations work. But I’d rather see them working on something different than the extremely average UTG..

    I had to fact check this as I’m sure u did, was surprised to see em doesn’t rap on the d12 word title track Kanye produced. Which leads me to what u kind of allude to perhaps... def think Kanye, the real Kanye, likely wasn’t feeling a lot of what em represented. The gay s--- etc. Ik he spoke about em being a dope producer and being in awe of him as a star, but just feels odd they never linked fully.

    Or maybe just timing em was too big or too drugged out during Kanye’s rise. Then Kanye was too big and em too washed later on..?

    I was thinking, we've never had a true Kanye/Em collab (there's Forever obviously but as the legend goes no one even knew Em was gonna be on it...and he rapped over a Kanye beat on stir crazy). But it's really weird that we're getting one now when Em and Kanye have been outspoken about being complete opposites on the political spectrum...Em and Kanye collabing would have made a lot of sense during, like, post-Katrina fall out, but Em was a junkie hermit at that point. The only reason this is happening is cuz of Dre I'm sure.

    Yeah I remember that too, what I meant was it's not like they were in the studio together and actually collaborating—I thought I remembered reading that Em was a late addition and the other three artists didn't know Em was gonna be on the song until after they'd recorded initially which led to the rerecording but I might be wrong.

    I always had a feeling Em probably snubbed Kanye a few times. Not appearing on that D12 track could have been interpreted as one. We know Eminem was low-key hating Kanye during his rise. I remember Royce recalling Kanye shouting out all the artists he was nominated with for an award in 2011, except Bad Meets Evil. Royce himself burned bridges with Kanye early over a leaked beat. I thought that was the end of the story but apparently Royce was invited over to Wyoming to work with Kanye, and didn't enjoy it. Eminem declined, lol.
