Mar 30, 2023 Em could if he tried. But you can’t sign to an old dude and wait for him to go promote you. Specially one that stays in Detroit. I don’t like their music so I don’t care, but he could at least help Proof’s son a bit I think he tried to do the same for Denaun’s daughter but we never heard of her after.
Mar 30, 2023 Grip probably knew he wouldn’t get famous from it. He strikes me as the type of dude that doesn’t care for fame. I could be wrong though. I don’t know much about Naan or whatever Proof’s son’s name is. Westside Boogie has some buzz but isn’t really famous either. I think most people with a brain know they shouldn’t sign to Shady Records if they wanna get famous lol. I don’t believe anybody could make these guys famous in today’s hip hop climate. Maybe back in the early 2010s but not now.
Mar 30, 2023 Nice, I bet it is. I haven’t listened to it yet because I’m waiting for the album tonight to hear it
Mar 30, 2023 One thing I do like about Em’s surprise releases is we go into the album completely blind. I sometimes imagine what it would be like if I had heard some of my favorite albums without hearing the singles beforehand. For example, hearing the “After Hours” song for the first time on your first listen of The Weeknd’s After Hours album would’ve hit so much harder I think.
Mar 30, 2023 I think the best songs are Closer To You, Bags, and Sofia. Bags and Sofia are classic songs to me that almost anybody could like imo. The album is co-produced by Clairo and Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend fame.
Mar 30, 2023 I thought you might’ve known of the Vampire Weekend band lol. It’s an American rock band formed in 2006. I never actually listened to their music though but there’s some good guitar on the Immunity Clairo album so f--- it the production is good
Mar 30, 2023 Whenever i listen to a juicy project for the first time i try to guess if the first tracks opening lyrics will be about guns, drugs, money or hoes lol
