Jun 28, 2022 This. And nice parallels between MJ & Quincy - Eminem & Dre. I don't know if it's a coincidence but this last snoop song was great and they were together in the studio...
Jun 28, 2022 Random thought of that day. I remember Smack That being the first Eminem song i really disliked when it first came out. Still do, song, verses and content sucks. Didn’t like The Kids either but Smack That was the first time I remember going to my mates in school, saying this is awful and skipping it on my CD player at the time.
Jun 28, 2022 So...basically the headphones didn't change, but Em's ears did? I think it's a problem for the whole team. Dre's ears also aren't the same anymore, Gospel sounds awful on streaming. I also peaked at the credits of the new song and a guy called "Mike Strange" mixed it. But Mike was also around when Em did Encore. I once read that as you get older, you'll start to hear less highs. But you'll still hear plenty of bass. That might explain why Eminem's, Snoop's and Dre's newer music start to sound a lot brighter. They think the music sounds better that way. But actually it might sound worse that way.
