Jul 5, 2022 There was a long period (almost the whole first half of his career) where he would switch up his sound once every year or two. Now that he's older though and more set in his ways changes have become much more gradual and subtle. TES was in many ways is a radical departure from MMLP and even more distant from SSLP, whereas I can hear a lot of Revival and MMLP2 in MTMB. So I'm not expecting his next album to break much new ground sound-wise. As long as he sounds natural as he did in Walkthrough and in MTBMB's better moments I'll be satisfied, at least for a week or two before its replay value expires.
