Jul 6, 2022 Yeah, it’s why it’s so frustrating that he doesn’t fully go in with an conceptual, themed album as he is fully capable of creating something so different and unique as he has the ability to do so, as tracks like Darkness prove that. But he has to make everything related to him and feels the need to make an album for everyone to listen too, hence the same formulas and variety tracks on every album he has done.
Jul 6, 2022 I know Em is sober now but I wonder hypothetically how his music would sound would if he just smoked weed. Don't want the man to relapse but it sucks he's an addict. I feel like the drugs gave him a better ear for music and contributed to a smoother flow.
Jul 6, 2022 It would be a lot worse. Being sober and clear minded helps with any aspect that demands you to concentrate and have the intricate rhyming and writing that he does. How Em sounds on Emshow to now has nothing to do with drugs. so many reasons why “He was better on Drugs” does not make sense at all. That’s just a few reasons why.

Jul 6, 2022 I disagree. He was high when he made what most consider his best work from '99-03'. Drugs, especially psychedelics, enhance creativity. I believe it enhanced his musical abilities until it became an out of control problem '04-'08.

Jul 6, 2022 Pretty obvious…. It’s a serious topic to cover which would cause discussion and wanted that to be the first visual and sound of the album, as it fits the theme. Add to the fact, it is a great song.

Jul 6, 2022 So that they get some word of mouth. After the video dropped, a lot of sites started publishing articles saying Em had dropped a song about gun violence. It is something concrete, specific, everyone has same opinion on. What would they have written about Godzilla if It had been first? What this song is actually about?
Jul 6, 2022 I would have released the fun one first and then Darkness once everyone knows he dropped. But it's been 2 years anyway. They need to drop the CC2 cover.
