I don't doubt this at all. I think it comes with the hiatus divide. Everyone can agree prime em was a monster (although some members still underrate that run). The post hiatus stuff is in no way great as a whole. Great moments - yes.. But overall it's not been great. I would say if prime em is 10/10 post hiatus em is maybe 6/10. Fans either overrate or overhate the s--- out of his new stuff

All of those lack substance because he can barely talk about the subject for an entire verse. All of his recent music is shrouded in multi syllable words that lack substance. Not to mention how atrocious his "flow" is.

Not sure where I'd put him in my all time list, but he's definitely not top 5 right now.
The Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show are beyond amazing though so maybe somewhere in the top 10 oat.

Among hip hop heads yes. Among the mainstream? No. He was essentialy a modern elvis. Everything from the rise, the crazy fame, the drugs, the shotty come back that had great moments but overall failed to recapture his former glory. Just Ems not dead yet (yay!). But the mainstream will never remove him from his pedestal.

That being said this is hard. Is 3 classics are just that, classic. That run can't be denied. Just on those alone I'd name him a great. And although musically the dude falls short nowadays, his technical skill is outstanding. Which is of course nothing in the world of music if it is not pleasing to the ears. But I digress, I don't think this is so clean cut. But as the genre ages, there are more and more contenders. Are the top 10 all time the same as they were in 85? 90? 95? 00? 05? And so on. Who knows man.

That being said I still find pleasure in his modern work. Hope he keeps it up. His fans (myself being one) are infuriating though. They make me gag.

No, i did not mean delivery, or I would have mentioned it. While we're on the topic, he has poor delivery of his lyrics too.
