It's possible he just feels an obligation to promote this heavily because he was supposed to be in it, and now just doing the soundtrack. Or the studio paid him big bucks to promote the f--- out of it.

I should have thought of this earlier...it is probably the studio paying him a ton of money to promote it. A lot of us think it's because he is about to drop an album soon but nah, studio just wants to make sure Southpaw gets a lot of promotion.

Historic event? I mean what could that be? A new album isn't really historic. But that could be it. SSLP2 maybe? TES2? ROOTS? A new collaboration album? What if Eminem did an album with Kanye West Or Kendrick? OR A DRE/EMINEM COLLABORATION ALBUM? This has to be something big if they're calling it historic. They're talking like this interview is equal to The founding fathers creating the declaration of independence.
