Dec 18, 2020 At this point, I feel happy that we still getting Eminem’s music, to be honest. And to me, it sounds better than ever. And it brings back so many great memories and even more... The fact that some of his new s--- sounds worst (to me or to some of you), is because you/we (or I) got tired or it. 20+ years of Eminem is a f---in lifetime and s--- will wear out on you! Some people get married and divorce in 20 years, some people die, a lot of s--- can change in 20 some years! Em raised us and generations after us and that is a fact. I’m almost 40 and a lot of kids here are like 18-20 (I can be y’all’s father; at least, to some haha) So, to be privileged to enjoy his music to this day, and not only his old albums, but constantly getting new music - is a f---in’ blessing, at this point! Just my 2¢. I been whining so much about his latest releases, but, today, something changed. I got in my feelings, I guess Happy Holidays and stay safe! ✌
Dec 18, 2020 It all comes down to that, I guess. Some people listen to Artist X for the vibe, while they listen to Artist Y for the content, and Artist Z because it's new/fresh. People project their own expectations onto the artist and then get frustrated and lash out when the artist isn't doing what they wanted them to do. It's funny and ironic. Like artists are supposed to meet our expectations -when they are so diverse if you take into account the billions of fans an artist Eminem has - How could he ever please us all?. Personally I still find *some* of his content relatable and I love it. -Leaving Heaven touched me in personal ways. -No Regrets as well (specially the overall concept). -Arose (talked about it yesterday before the album dropped). And when I don't find a song I can relate to, I sit back and appreciate the art itself. All the hard work he puts into still finding new rhymes, new flows, new ways to sound fresh. It still amazes me. I was in shock yesterday during the first 3 times I listened to the album back to back. Honestly, he probably could still make the same music as in 2002 if he wanted to. Simpler beats. Maintining the same flow and rhyme patterns throughout the whole verse. Etc. But the point is: He doesn't want to do that anymore. Either you (not specifically the person I'm quoting but in general) understand that or you shouldn't be checking for Eminem anymore. Because every time he drops an album all you seem to be looking for is "which song does he sound like in X era"... "oh! He doesn't sound like the [INSERT ERA HERE] Eminem in any song. The album sucks!". Or:"oh! Why doesn't he talk about [INSERT SUBJECT MATTER HERE], he's got no content anymore" Eminem has moved on from that a long time ago. He's experimented with different sounds and flows for the past 10 years, and now he seems to have found one that he likes. If you don't you can simply move on. Stop projecting. Against all odds, I'm hoping my true MFers know This be the realest s--- I ever wrote

Dec 18, 2020 His rap career is. He never belonged there. The s--- he's doing now is where he belongs. Luckily Em helped him quit rap.

Dec 18, 2020 Garbage! Recovery flow and beat is 10 times better than anything he put out the last 10 years. Talkin 2 Myself better than the whole of side B. Em now just shouts and raps fast and people think it’s fire.Lol

Dec 18, 2020 Weirdly, covid brought in more work for me. Going to be around as much as possible - hope you're good man!
Dec 18, 2020 It's not the fact that some of us have been listening to him for a long time, it's the fact that he used to be more mainstream, and now he cares a lot about the syllables and all that instead of trying to make a song that sounds good. That's why a lot of people ain't feeling him anymore.
Dec 18, 2020 k--- You has some of the best bars ever. But then again in 2000 you were still a blip in your fathers nutsack yet act like you been an Em fan since 97!Lol
Dec 18, 2020 Gnat is the type of track that is way better with a video, and Cole's videos are pretty cool.
