Dec 18, 2020 What I like about this album is not only the production but ems flow over the beats of the song. It combines top notch with a really good flow. There's no cringy bars and a lot of the bars deliver. Unlike some past attempts the bars are definitely coherent and a lot of them are actually slowed down - but I like the speed rap too -I don't always pick up the bars right off but it sounds dope and if you like music and hip-hop you can appreciate it.. Another thing I like is you can just let this run - no skip songs or cringe songs like framed. The bad? It's not as punchy or bold as some of his other s--- and yes he sticks a bit too much to the same flow altho he does mix it up a bit too. I can see where someone can feel it's a little flat if you listen to it straight up but again it's added on to the existing m2bmb so just got shuffle and you solve that issue. Is it Mmlp or Tes? No. He isn't just slowly rapping a bar here and there - but he does time his flows well over the music.. Is there an epic story like stan? No but there's songs that tell a story.. The album could of used more slow flows like moon man sure but overall this is a solid B+ effort and best of all it's new music.
Dec 18, 2020 I like the album. His skill is unquestioned, his writing is insane. I currently don’t think this is as good as side A mainly due to the energy he used on side A compared to side B. I think most fans enjoy Em when he says the rhymes with a lot of feeling/energy which he did a fair amount on side A and Kamikaze I think he intentionally is using this more calm tone just to try something new. When he raps like that it just doesn’t sound as convincing or good but overall this is solid.
