Dec 19, 2020 100%. I’ve been saying this since Recovery but it’s been especially true since Revival. It’s all rappity rap stuff. Not really music. Nothing that you would really listen to beyond 3 or 4 play throughs. As much as Revival was hated on, I find myself listening to a couple tracks from that album 3 years later. I’d take easy to listen to 3 verse tracks with decent hooks and actual subject matter worth listening over punchline filled, double speed, beat switching technical rapping about hating his critics/fame/his money/etc...

It's like "d---, you were a God to me..... nah... actually you were just another rapper to me, that's why I never mentioned you in any of my top 10 rappers ever".
