Dec 21, 2020 I know, But how many hits does he need? How many famous does he need to be. Like, seriously, lol. Surely he'd rather people have perfect, or at least uncompromised works of his art than these things with blemishes all over them to line Paul's pockets. That's the ironic thing, he came out as ''mr integrity, mr don't censor or control me'', like, that's his artistic MO, but he allows himself to s--- all over his art quite a bit. Well, he did anyway. He seems back on a pure streak since Kam-Now.
Dec 21, 2020 How can replacing Skylar's voice for a mainstream female artist be a compromise to the rest of the album?. We're not talking about a whole project together. I'm just talking about a strategy to sell even more. Surely if you already have an amazing album such as MTBMB, adding an extra asset to it won't hurt. On the contrary, it will get a lot more attention and even help him sell more which, right now, seems to be the only downside to this masterpiece. Yet he went from Infinite to Slim Shady in which he completely flipped, and changed his whole persona just to attract the audience. Let's not be hypocritical here and let's accept he's ALWAYS cared about public opinion and perception. Otherwise he wouldn't have started with the whole shock-vale content, which is what made him successful in the first place.
Dec 21, 2020 I think a lot of people underestimate how huge Not Afraid was, that song went diamond, I repeat Diamond aka 10x Platin. And Rap God a song thats 100% hardcore rap is almost 6 x Platin. So yes Em does not need a Rihanna lol, he can make hits on his own, if he wants to.
Dec 21, 2020 Favorite for today: Book of Rhymes. Sinful thoughts, this beat is crazy, this s---'s r-----ed This instru's mental (This instru's mental) to mini-bars, incidental charges
Dec 21, 2020 But how could I get up in arms about you saying trash is all that I put out? b----, I still get the bag when I'm putting garbage out
Dec 21, 2020 Not quite though. That's one way to look at it. In reality - he made Infinite softer to try and get on the radio. That's what friends of his said who worked close with him on it, which is why he's not rapping anything too outlandish or aggressive. Hence why even before Infinite his style was more outlandish and aggressive. He got depressed and decided to be authentic with Slim Shady. Slim Shady is him not caring about trying to appease anyone, it's the opposite of what you're saying - it's the uncompromising art he actually wanted to make, there's no way to know that would attract an audience as it was new and new to him. He decided to forget that and just be free... Which is always when he or any artist usually make their best work. Infinite was the compromise / attempt to pander. And it failed. Slim Shady is the authentic, angry response. And it was great. Similarly, Revival was the compromised attempt to pander, and it failed. And Kamikaze was the great, authentic, angry response.
Dec 21, 2020 According to Eminem himself that's not quite how it happened. He even talks about it on Castle: My Infinite CD flopped, too many soft tunes They're talking bad about Dad, it's ticking me off too Makes me feel like I don't belong or something Ooh! I think I might have just stumbled onto something new Got a prediction for the future, I'm hoping that you[...] And on Baby too Who just happened to be a rapper Who just happen to be on the crapper When it happened I had an epiphany In the bathroom, I'd never be the same after
Dec 21, 2020 Can’t stop listening to Tone deaf or get this out my head Paul’s asking for Christmas off again, I said no then I spit this song for him
Dec 21, 2020 "For Rolling Stone Stars I get two and a half out of five, and I laugh out loud..." https://www.rollingstone.com/music/...nem-music-to-be-murdered-by-side-b-2-1106455/ No need to say anything else. This just proves everything.
Dec 21, 2020 This is an eminem album with incredible quality and with replay value its whats been missing a bit from the other albums compared to his classics , not saying this a classic lol but if this was the debut of a new rapper he would instantly be praised af
Dec 21, 2020 Your right its not a classic. Its a masterful work of art that the aliens will study in the future
