Dec 26, 2020 Specially if you consider Nas hadn't drop anything in a while. So there was a lot of expectation. Em dropped less than a year ago. Imagine if Em decided to take 4 years off now. When he announces a new album, in 4 years.... there'd be a lot of expectation and that helps boost sales.
Dec 26, 2020 Yeah. Plus... he's 48 now. There's no way any label manager, CEO or whoever can tell him he *must* do this or that. After Revival he probably let everyone at the label know "From now on I will do things my way. f--- off".
Dec 26, 2020 It would be a good idea if you look at the fact that there will be no concerts in 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.
Dec 26, 2020 Not really. I don't think MJ topped the charts after 00s. He was at the top for about 20 years, similar to Em's. I doubt he ever had a hit like Em's Godzilla after 00s anyway. And don't make a mistake here, it's a hit with more than 500 million streams on Spotify alone. TO be more specific, I just did a quick research on Wiki. MJ's stardom starts with 1979 release Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough, that's the first song that actually had a certification etc. His platinum songs started to become golds in the 90s mostly. After 2000s he barely had singles, any certifications or anything special till he died. Em's longevity is not really worse than MJ actually. Godzilla was Em on his 20th year in the industry and it's few times platinum at this point. Let's compare it to the MJ's HIStory album's singles and I doubt any of the songs were more successful than Godzilla.
Dec 26, 2020 Why didn't Godzilla come out a week before the album was released? They released Godzilla 2 months later! Why isn't Eminem releasing a big single anymore before the album?
Dec 26, 2020 "You Rock My World" (MJ's official last promo cut and video) charted #10 in the US. They didn't put it out as an official single CD. Just the video.
Dec 26, 2020 No more pop s--- ever please. If he needs to do a pop hit, he needs to do an eminem styled comedy hit like my names is, or without me or something not some chick on the chorus s---. That's what got eminem famous in the first place
Dec 26, 2020 He's almost 50 for f---s sake. A comedy song? Again?. Nah, thanks. I'd rather he just put the mic off and retired.
Dec 26, 2020 When did he last change into Britney Spears? That was 11 years ago! He writes the word Slim Shady on MTBMB Side A and Side B, but where is Slim Shady? Where is the guy who changes into Britney Spears?
Dec 26, 2020 What does this have to do with anything I said lol ? He just likes to do surprise releases. What difference does it make ? It's still a huge song. Yeah I loved that song, but it wasn't really as succesful as Goddzilla neither. It was in 2001. MJ started his career really early but he became an international star (like Em became in 99) in 1979. Em released Godzilla in his 21st year in the game and since MJ had You Rock My World in the 22nd year of his career. I can definitely argue Em's longevity is more impressive...
Dec 26, 2020 Changed into what? As in costume ? What do you mean ? Lol. And Britney ? Well, she is over for so long. I can't even remember when was the last time I heard of her... Btw, it's really a huge problem for you. You should accept the fact that an artist holds the right to do his or her art as he or she wishes to, you either get on with it or not, it won't make a difference to b---- and moan here or anywhere else for that matter. And artist is suppossed to grow, evolve and change. That's what happened and is still happening with Em which is the main reason I still have a huge love for his work. I know some artists are tend to stay as they become famous throughout the years. But that's never really good idea. Artist should be growing with his or her fanbase and otherwise, the fanbase will be constantly changin and people won't be interested in that artist's work as they get older, most likely fanbase would always be full of people with same range of age etc.
Dec 26, 2020 imagine giving a SINGLE f--- about sales 2010-17 was mostly all unbearble hooks for sales , stop gurgling marshalls c-m get off the internet and get a f---ing life fa----
Dec 26, 2020 but where is Slim Shady? I haven't seen Slim Shady in 11 years! My childhood was with Slim Shady songs and all that Em's pop s---. Why did his voice get weird, even weirder than his beard? Why is he constantly trying to rapping fast? Why don't a lot of top artists change their voices, while Eminem has been constantly experimenting with his voice over the past few years? So many questions. But where is Slim Shady? I almost forgot that Slim Shady even existed! Can you imagine, I almost forgot what he looks like, that real Eminem! He goes around with that weird beard and brunette hair all the time.
Dec 26, 2020 At this age, please no funny smartass slim shady. Please no. If Slim shady must appear he better be a murdering psychopath who represents Eminem actual dark side, his Id. And a person's id is never funny. But intriguing.
Dec 26, 2020 Have you even listened SSLP or MMLP or TES ? Because it sounds like you only listened to his funny hits like Real Slim Shady, My Name Is... Imagine thinking Slim Shady is just an alter ego for having fun with celebrity name drops and stuff like that. His voice is not weird, it has changed a bit and he was always the kind of guy who likes to experiment with it, plus AGAIN, AN ARTIST IS SUPPOSSED TO GROW AND CHANGE LOL. He is not constantly rapping fast. In fact, in the last album, he kinda slowed his flow down a bit... Btw, I doubt any rapper who is around more than 20 years didn't change his style, voice (willingly or unwillingly) etc. Well if they didn't they are not even half as famous as they were back in the days. I doubt you listen to any rapper much enough to realize the changes like that as you do with Em.
Dec 26, 2020 Completely disagree, Alfred's Theme is 10/10 and that's Goofy Slim s---. And btw, i'm sure I'm not the only one who wants more of this
Dec 26, 2020 SIDE B sales will show that the real Eminem from the 2000s should return. He has to shave off that strange beard, dye his hair blonde, eat fast food, drink alcohol, return to strip clubs and look like he did in 2005. In 2005, he had a complete look, it was the perfect Slim Shady. He has to bring this Slim Shady back for the next album. And he must definitely return the logo he used in the 2000s. This logo made him the most successful rapper of the 2000s.
